OVERWHELMED
Thank heavens January is over, and half of February too for that matter. Jon is working in Seattle during the week, the kids having been passing around colds and croup to each other (who taught them to share anyway?!), and the weather has us trapped inside. Oh look, I am being called away (and I just sat down too.) Well maybe next month...

Goodbye Stretchy Pants

And I am so HAPPY that my time in stretchy pants has finally come to an end!!!!!!
Today I ventured out in fully buttoned and zipped ;) real pants!!! That means non maternity, not elastic, non sweat pant variety, REAL pants. Yes they were courduroy (which is a little more giving and forgiving in needed areas than say denim) but they are real pants, from my closet, that I bought when I was not pregnant. Life is sooo good!
To celebrate, Jon took me to Costa Vida today. MMMmmmmmm!
No the scale isnt budging. I am at my heaviest weight ever, but through very tender mercies my weight is at least redistributing itself on my body so that I can button my pants. And THAT is just a wonderful reason to smile.
Reasons not to smile:
Second degree burns on my across the entire palm of my right hand last night. VERY PAINFUL!!!
And this may make YOU smile but my husband not so much:
When bringing the car into the garage Wednesday night I got the yukon stuck on the garage door. (I thought the garage door was completely open but is was actually about 2 feet lowered. We have a nice dent in the bottom and some crumpled metal on the inside of the garage door and some missing paint and a dented luggage rack on the yukon, but thankfully thats it. I've done way more damage than that with the garage door and a car before. ;)
Oh well, Ce la vie ! ('cause I'm not wearing stretchy pants !)

Lucy's first photo shoot
My sweet and talented sister in law came and took a very uncooperative Lucy's photographs when she was 6 days old.

Did you know if you click on the picture you can see it full screen? Depending on how big your screen is, she's almost life size ;). Yes she sleeps a lot, unless she wants to eat, which is almost as much as she wants to sleep. But my hands are too full to take pictures of her eating, so you get to see her sleeping. Probably better that way, cause I'm not running one of "those" types of webites.
