Easter and a Trip to the Children's Museum

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! On Friday, Wesley and I joined the Southside P's for Easter egg dying fun. Here is Dylan with his two-toned egg and Mikaela with her usual sweet smile. Wesley didn't really get into it...he just wanted to dip his hands in the dye.

Here is Wesley on Easter morning before church with his basket. He got a Dustbuster. He is rather obsessed with cleaning items...the vacuum, the mop, the broom. Is that weird? I don't know what to make of it. I just hope it continues into his teenage years so I can put him to work. Ha. He also got some bubbles and M&M filled eggs (his new favorite treat).

Here we are at Steve's parents house for Easter dinner. All the cousins together on the couch. Which kid looks a little out of place? We did not get the memo about wearing orange!

And today we headed to the Children's Museum with Diane, Thomas and Matthew. It's being temporarily housed in the Cowgirl Museum (yes, it really does exist...only in Texas) while they do some renovations, but it was still a lot of fun. They had a mock grocery store complete with carts and a check out stand. Notice my son piling up on the meat. Two huge turkeys and some hot dogs. Not a vegetable in sight. That's my boy!

Come on Baby!

We've been busy preparing for Reeve's arrival. I'm officially in full-out nesting mode. I have to brag on my hubs a bit...he has been SOOOO wonderful! He has helped me clean, get organized and basically takes over with Wesley on the weekends so I can run errands, etc. What a guy! Thanks Babe...you are the BEST! Last Tuesday night my dear friends Holly, Diane, April, Lauren and my sister-in-law Rebecca threw me a baby shower. Unfortunately, Rebecca wasn't feeling well and couldn't make the shower. She made some pretty amazing desserts though! Thanks Rebecca! The best part by far was the chocolate fountain...nothing like dipping a big ol' piece of pound cake in pure chocolate goodness! I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it...sorry. I did manage to get a hostess picture and one of the cake:

April (baby Samuel is due 2 weeks after Reeve), Diane, me, Holly, Lauren and sweet Ava Elizabeth

Nana and Papa T. arrive next Thursday and said they would stick around until Reeve comes...must be nice to be retired! We plan to put them to work keeping Wesley entertained and doing some projects around the house. Hope that's okay you guys! :)

What a Difference a Day Makes

Changing things up a bit on the blog. Let me know what you think.

I can't help but talk about this crazy weather we've been having. Last Sunday we went to the park in shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops. It was a balmy 80 degrees. This past Thursday it was 30 degrees and 2 inches of snow fell in our back yard and 9...yes, 9 inches of snow fell just 30 minutes north of us. What?? Of course, Steve loved every minute of the snow and so did Wesley. Steve got sent home from work early. It took him 1.5 hours to get home (it usually takes him 28 minutes). When Steve finally got home he and Wesley got busy making snowballs, a tiny snowman (with one eye) and tasted the snow. It was really fun for us to watch Wesley experience his first snow. Who would have guessed it would happen in Texas? Here are a few pictures to show the drastic temperature changes:
