Halloween Parade

Today we had the Halloween parade at Draper Elementary. Sam and Ellie were supposed to be in the parade however I didn't see either of them. To be Frank, It's Halloween, I didn't recognize anyone from my neighborhood. I did however see some celebrities. I decided to try and get a picture of Hannah Montana.

As you can tell I am not a very good popperazzi. My camera was way to slow and all I got was a nice blur and the top of a cowboy KK's hat. It wasn't much longer before I saw Indiana Jones and thought that Sam would love a picture of him since he wasn't able to see him.

This one turned out blurry as well but at least you can make out three of him. So much for cell phone cameras. Sorry, Sam and Ellie you would have loved to see them. It was a lot of fun. I couldn't snap a picture of another celebrity that you don't see out very often, that was Sarah. I got her to muster some strength and come with us. It about killer her but she did it. She loves holidays and it is killing her not being able to go do all the fun things. Last night was Trunk-or-Treating and she had to miss out on that. One day she will be back to normal.

Good News

Sarah got an ultrasound yesterday, and we found out what we are having. I was going to post it but decided not to. I want those of you who care to wait. It is funner that way. We have had quite the debate in the family about whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Ellie wants a sister so badly, and the boys want another brother. Part of me thinks they want a brother because they like teasing Ellie. That are all just excited to have a new baby coming. We bought and outfit for the baby and told the kids that the outfit is for the baby so they would know if it was a girl baby or a boy baby. We gathered them all together and showed them the outfit. It was so exciting for them to see a blank outfit. I already told you that I am not going to tell you! Isn't this fun. You don't know how hard I am laughing right now. I think the youngsters type, LOL in this situation. Anyways, I thought I would just post this to let you all know. Oh, and only half of what Sarah posted about me is true. OK, it is a boy, jk. LOL it is a girl. Sarah was so excited when she found out and couldn't contain herself. She wanted to shout it to the whole world but that was too much excitement for her and it wiped her out for the rest of the evening. Ellie is way happy to finally have a sister. Carter grabbed the outfit and wouldn't let anyone else see it. He took it to bed with him. I would also like to thank all those that have helped while Sarah has been down. I hope all is well with you.

Update/Thanks!

Many people have asked me to do a post with an update on my status.  Don't really enjoy talking about myself...but decided to do it,  because I owe many of you a HUGE thanks!
Over the past month family and friends have made my life possible. It is an uneasy feeling to have to rely on everyone to do everything you should be able to do.  Thanks to all who brought in meals, drove carpool for a month ( thanks Katie), cleaned my house, took my kids, called and visited!
A special thanks to my man, Paul, for running our household.  I must say he is doing a great job.  I have not put the kids to bed in over a month!  He has kept up on all the laundry AND dishes, made many meals, taken the kids on adventures so I could rest, taught our primary class alone, got all the kids halloween costumes and  NEVER once complained.  I think he may be more anxious for me to be better then I am.  I'm pretty sure I have the best husband in the world!!!!

Everyday I seem to be a little bit better.  I am having about 2 hours a day that I feel like I can move from the couch.  I've been spending that time outside visiting with my neighbor on our porch as the kids play. It has been so refreshing.

For those who have not heard the recent update, they think I have a virus.  I go to the doc on Tuesday again and hope to learn more.  All he told me over the phone what that I have a virus and that it can cause growth issues with the baby so I'll be monitored more carefully over the next few months.
I've decided that this coming week, better or not, life is going to go back to normal.  My kids might be very sad because that means grandma won't be picking them up from school as often, but I'm sure they'll adjust!
Once again THANKS to everyone for all you have done for me and my family.  It is truly appreciated.  And if anyone is wondering, I have discovered that you can watch family feud almost all day, and Legally Blonde is on almost everyday.

BYU Creamery, dead zoo! What more can you ask for on a hot summer day??

I decided we needed to go do something fun that was indoors.  We found ourselves in good ol' Provo for a little lunch at the creamery and a trip to the dead zoo, in the words of KK.  In reality it was the Bean museum.  Which for years I thought was a museum of things made out of beans.  So I have to side with KK name for it.  It makes much more sense!

Sam enjoying a little ice cream!  Yummy!

KK just explained to Carter that the Bean museum is actually a dead zoo not a museum of beans!

KK  made a loud announcement to everyone at the creamery that we were going to the dead zoo.  He got a nice chuckle out of everyone there.  Got to love that kid!

Ellie told me she was a little nervous with all the animals looking at her.  I didn't realize how nervous she actually was, and told her that they wouldn't jump out and grab her.  As I said that I grabbed her and it scared the pants off her.  She screamed so loud than burst in to tears.  I could not stop laughing.  Sorry Ellie... you get your jumpiness from me, but it was way funny!
Ellie did however enjoy the  butterfly attraction.  So all that started well ended well.  We had a really fun day as a family.  I'm going to be sad when they head off to school in a couple of weeks.

4th of July

We love the 4th of July at our house.  Every year we wake up early and head down to Provo for the parade.  The kids love it!
After the parade we always head over to my favorite aunt's house for a yummy breakfast and a dip in their pool.  The kids had a blast swimming.  Sam even jumped off the diving board for the first time.  He was very proud of his accomplishment.

We ended the evening with some fun fireworks...which I'm not a fan of.  They scare me with little kids.  Who's idea was it anyway to put fire on the end of a metal stick then hold it and wave it in front of your face?  Oh well, against my better judgement my kids enjoyed every minute of the danger!

Wonderful week, for a wonderful woman!

As many know, Paul's mom passed away last week.  It was a sad, but good thing.  She has suffered from Alzheimer's for the past 7 years.  Before the disease she was an amazing woman.  I always felt very luck to have her as my mother-in-law.  I was lucky to grow up across the street from them, and to have know her my whole life.  I am sad that my kids will never know the woman I knew and loved on this earth, but look forward to the day they will get to know her in the life here after.  She was a fun lady, who knew how to have  good time, and knew how to make people feel loved.  We will miss her, but know that she will be more involved in our life now, then she has been in the past few years.
Diane's 6 kids and incredible husband Willard

The whole week was
such a wonderful week.  I have been so blessed to get into a the most incredible family.  I have the best sister-in-laws in the world!  Monday we went to the funeral home an made all the preparation for the funeral. (Which I hope not to do again for a very, very long time!) Wednesday was the viewing, and Thursday was the funeral.  It was such a nice service.  Paul spoke and did an great job.  Everyone who spoke did wonderful! I'm pretty sure Diane was happy with it. Friday night the boys and Willard all went golfing, and the girls had a GNO at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was so fun.  Saturday night we all headed up AF canyon for a picnic.  The grandkids had fun playing while the adults chit chatted.   It was a really nice week.  We all enjoyed ourselves, and I'm pretty sure Diane enjoyed it all with us.

Finally posting a picture of Ellie's broken arm
I thought this was post worthy!

Summer is off to a bang!

Summer is off to a bang!  School is out, Ellie has the first broken bone in the family, we are up in snowbird on our annual trip, and I finally made it to the Cheesecake Factory!

Caleb had his end of the year preschool program this week.  After years of teaching preschool and laughing at the "class clown" in the performance, my kid was the "clown".  Not so funny when it is your kid!  He poked the eye of the kid to his left, and pretend chok
ed the kid to his right.  Paul and I sat in the back shaking our heads NO to him.  He did sing though.  I talked to him about that before he left.  Next time
we will talk about personal space.  We do love that kid!  He does bring lots of joy to our life, most the time!

Kid to the right choked, kid to left blind

Ellie also broke her arm this week on the monkey bars.  That girl has the biggest pain tolerance ever!  She cried for a bit, then was done.  Slept through the night and went to her last day of kindergarten with a broken arm!  I could see in her eyes that she was in pain, so for my piece of mind I took her to the doctor after school.  It was broken and she picked out a cute pink cast to match all her pink cloths!  She has yet to c
omplain or let it stop her from anything.  And for those of you who don't know, as I didn't, cast are now waterproof so she can even swim!

We have been enjoying a fun few days up at snowbird.  I
t has been so nice to sit and relax and enjoy the kids.  We've spent a lot of time at the pool, which the kids love!

5 simple pleasures!

I've been tagged!!  Here are my 5 simple pleasures

1. Going to the store with no kids!
2. Date night with Paul
3. Tile floors that appear clean, even when they are filthy!
4. Hanging out with friends and family and laughing over nothing.
5. Toilet paper....I was stranded earlier with no one to save me but my 2 year old.  He did save me with one baby wipe....man those things are cold!
One last one...sleeping through the entire night with no one having a bad dream, or needing their covers back on.  That is the best!!

I guess now I get to tag someone....I choose Kaite Burgi :-)

Memorial Day

The Sunday before Memorial day has always been the same for me as long as I remember.  We get in the car and drive down to good ol' Payson, UT to visit the grave sites of my grandparents on my mom's side.  For years I dreaded it, but as years go on I'm learning to appreciate it more.  Last year we started doing a potluck of snacks at Barnett Elementary right by the cementary with all the cousins.  Good food and family always help me appreciate things more! (Just an FYI Barnett Elementary was named after my grandpa Owen Barnett.)  Long story short it was a fun day.  Awesome grandma came with...which always makes things more fun!  Sam lost a tooth there and my sister Laura had a big laughing attack that got all of us laughing!  There is nothing better then laughing till it hurts or you start to cry!
Speaking of losing teeth, Ellie lost her first tooth yesterday at Awesome grandma's house.  It was very exciting.  Awesome grandma played toothfairy instantly and gave her a dollar, then we ran into grandpa Mark on the way out and he gave her a handful of change.  As we drove away Ellie say " They were so nice to me....AND they made me rich!!!"

We've had a very fun, excited, busy, crazy week at the England household.  We made the move over to our new place, forgot to pick Sam up from school on short day, had Carter's 2nd birthday, and Mother's Day.
We are very happy and excited to be in our new place.  We are loving the extra room.  The kids love having a basement to go play in, and I love that the mess stays down there!  We are slowly getting more and more settled.  Hopefully by the end of next week we will be all settled in.  Our kitchen is getting redone this week, so I'll be able to get all my kitchen boxes unpacked.
I've had to start driving our kids to school, because they don't bus where we are at now, and
Friday I forgot to pick up Sam.  Half hour after school got out, my friend, Ashley Boyle, calls and tells me she is at the school with Sam.  I was trying to figure out why she was telling me that, and I dawned on me that it was short day.  I felt so bad.  Ashley was sweet and brought him home for me.  Both Sam and I were grateful.  I have now set my cell phone to go off 15 mins before I need to pick up Ellie and Sam everyday.  Hopefully, I won't forget again!

Yesterday was Carter's 2nd birthday.  He enjoyed every minuet of it.  We had a little party with family that night at our house.  He got spoiled with lots of nice gifts and fun cousins to play with. It was fun to see everyone and visit.

Mother's Day started off with a bang at our house.  I was spoiled with lots of cute cards and a yummy breakfast prepared by my hubby and kids!  They made me feel like a queen.  I'm pretty sure I have the best kids and husband ever!  I feel very blessed to be a wife and a mother.

I'm attempting to join the blogging society!  I tried a while back, but was unsuccessful.  We'll see how this goes.  Things in the England household are going well.  We are moving into our new place tonight...hopefully!  The kids are all super excited....maybe a little too excited.  Paul and I are excited to have our own bathroom and not have to clear toys out every time we shower. It should be a fun adventure for all of us!
