Cinnamon visited for a couple of days.
Don't you know who she is?
I'll tell you right now.
My mother had a friend whom she loved very much.
Mom's friend got very sick.
She recovered and decided that she needed a dog.
Some relatives knew of someone who had a dog in search of a home.
The dog's owner had recently passed away.
Her relatives didn't want to keep the dog because she reminded them of their loss.
The dog spent day and night in a crate.
Then, mommy's friend adopted her.
She kept her original name, Cinnamon.
It was a perfect match.
A few months later mommy's friend started to feel sick again.
Mommy lost her dear friend almost a year ago.
It's been a tough year, you can tell.
Cinnamon's daddy told mom a few months ago that he was tired.
He had survived years ago the same disease that took his wife's life.
He said that he would give Cinnamon to my family in a heartbeat.
This was right before I came into my family's life.
Mom was heartbroken.
She didn't know what to say.
Cinnamon needs her daddy and he needs her.
She said so, and he kept her.
Last weekend, Cinnamon stayed with us.
Her daddy had to leave town unexpectedly.
We got along pretty well, considering how different we are.
She growls quite a lot, she doesn't like to play.
I am a playing machine!
My dad loved Cinnamon, she's such a good girl.
And the next day, her daddy picked her up late.
We're all looking forward to another play date or pajama party, with my new friend!
