a Little of everthing.....
we bought a new sofa. With Belle's accident she had falling behind the sofa and got trapped and got over heated. ( this happened 2 other times since then) we had to keep pulling our sofa away from the window when we left the house to make sure if she fell over again she would have space to get out from being trapped. The way our living room is set set up we tried to rearrange but didn't work, so we looked at new sets and we found this sectional that gave alot of space behind the sofa and window that we could place a bench behind it so if she fell she had the bench to catch her and she could hop down and get out from being trapped again....so here is what we found.........
Belle now lays in the center of the sofa, I have only seen her up on the top a few times, it is a little higher so i think it is harder for her to jump up.
The rug we had before didn't match so I ordered this round Braided rug from here my favorite country store in our area.
It goes so well and it doesn't show the pug fur! Bonus!
I bought this old trunk at a Antique shop here in town for a sofa table, I have a old wagon I use and a regular coffee table but it just didn;t look like it went together...so to keep up with my Rustic Country style I went with this......rusty hinges and all!
Today one of Whitney friends stayed with us while her parents were at work so we decided to head over to Vermont to the Montshire Museum or the afternoon. they got the name Montshire because the Museum is located just long the Connecticut River that divided the States Vermont and New Hampshire " MontShire" instead of uploading pictures I turned it into a Montage... you'll see Whitney holding a green block in some of the pictures...she burned her thumb this morning on a iron and she carried the green icepack all day long on her sore thumb. After the afternoon at the Museum I treated the girls to Chilli's For Dinner.
I dated the Montage wrong...sorry it sould be today's date.... 7-29-08
and last.....
We have had a little visitor hanging around the last week or so.....a cute orange and white kitty. Whitney calls him Bugs. He is very sociable and affectionate. He is so skinny and dirty. That was until Whitney gave him a bath with baby wipes. I checked the kitty over to see if it had fleas...Not One! Not one flea or any flea dirt... Brad and I decided to let him stay inside the house tonight rather than the garage where he has made his home. We checked with some of our neighbors of the know of anyone in the area with a cat that looked like this one...No one, I checked the paper in Lost and found too...and Nothing! He is a good eater and loves to be cuddled but still was dingy.... I could smell a bit of a perfumy smell and I asked her about it and she said she sprayed him a little with perfume to make him smell better. we explained to her that the perfume could be harmful to the kitty so she took out the baby wipes again and wiped him down...Not only was it perfume but it has body glitter in it too...sighhhh so now the kitty is dirty and dingy with a coat of perfume and glitter on him....yiyiyiyi...Poor Whitney tried to help and then cried thinking she could of harmed him. anyway...Brad is taking the kitty to the vet tomorrow to be checked out to make sure he is in good health...( we don;t want another episode of what happened to Tori's kitten having to be put down due to F.I.V. If he is is in good health we will take him in.... if not we will let the vet decide what is best for the kitty.
So in the mean time The Kitty ( AKA Bugs) is kept in Whit~Bits room until we know if he is healthy enough to be around the pugs... he is in Kitty Heaven sleeping in a warm bed with a big dish of food and water....and a homemade litter box made by Whitney out of a cardboard box and a trash bag . He has yet left Whitney's side.... Fingers crossed he is a healthy boy.
Sorry to over whelm you with this post I should divided it up into 3 different posts..I just missed my camera and blogging..lol
OH YA....I almost forgot! Belle got her stitches out yesterday and she looks great! and she breathes so much better! Yeah for Nose jobs!!!!!

In another Blog funk again......why???
Tomorrow I am going into Vermont to pick up a round braided rug I ordered to go with our new sofa set... so I really want my camera to show them to you!
Belle is healing well. I did have to bring her back to the vet to have them checked. Her nose stitches are in a tough area to clean. some of the stitches are underneath her nose folds and it gets all yucky....The vet gave me antibiotic cream to apply to her infected area and more antibiotics Pills to take once a day......she is scheduled to have the stitches removed on July 28th. Poor thing has to have them in for 16 days~
Willow is also doing better, still not well but not getting any worse. she is on another type of antibiotic due to her still having symptoms and the first one she was on made her vomit.. All in all she is chugging right along
Turbo is on his last few tablets for his UTI....so far so good..he is also on Old Man meds to help control his bladder...he has to go pee all the time...even having some accidents. Now that he is on his Old Man Pee meds...he seems to be holding it better with out going in the house...Although when he does have an accident in the house he is doing a good job trying to go in the right place. He lifts his leg and Pees on the Toilet in the bathroom. Almost like he thinks he is actually going in the right place! so funny. Now I just place a towel around the bottom of the toilet to absorb anything if he does go....
Hopefully my next post will be with Pictures with my new camera!

Whitney the washing Queen!
I seem to have had a bout with Bad luck this past week.......
First....you are not going to believe this but, MY CAMERA BROKE!!!! I am crushed! I am so lost without my camera. I take pictures each and everyday of the Pugs, my kids and random things to post one day....now all I have is my cell phone camera to get me by until I can get a new camera.......I am broke now since we just bought a new living room set ( a future blog post) I know some of you are thinking???Didn't they just get a new set last fall? yes we did but do you remember this post? But with Belle having that close call being stuck and overheated in between the sofa and window we knew we needed to change the living around...but there was no way to with the way the room is set up. so we bought a new sectional that allows room in the window area just incase this happens again.... anyway...back to my bout of bad luck...not only did my camera break but........
My new front loader died! ( I have only had it for a year now!) I have noticed the last few cycles it was not spinning out as well and the other night it was making a horrible grinding noise and it was flashing F for failure....I tried to run it through another cycle but it was frozen. I went to open the door and it was locked? Great now what do I do? here it is midnight Bradley is sleeping and I have no clue to know how to get it unlocked. I turned it off and it was still locked...Grrrr I try to move the washer to unplug it but it would not budge, then I had the brainy idea to flip the fuse box to turn it off....Yes! That worked. ( I patted myself on the back for that idea!) once I opened the door it was full...I mean FULL of water.. not good not good at all....I dump out all the wet soggy laundry into a laundry basket and drag it out to the back deck and wring out the laundry so it would not over work the Drier....lost of work at midnight...it was nearly 1am when i got it in the drier.having a Pre-teen and a teen aged daughter who love to change their clothes 100 times a day makes lots of laundry. I talked about going to the laundry mat but........

I hired Whitney to do her laundry in the Bathtub today! It was a hot muggy day so Whitney had a Blast putting on her bathing-suite and filling up the tub with cool water and Gain and stomp around on her clothes like a laundry machine!
But tomorrow I think I am going to run to the Laundry mat to do Brads work clothes and a load of towels...They are just too much to do in the tub....besides I want clean towels....
I called SEARS today and they told me they can have someone at my home on Thursday, between 8am and 5pm...WHAT? 9 hour time span? usually they give a 3 hour time span but not 9! so guess what I get to do all day on Thursday? wait for SEARS to come. I had to cancel my dentist app. just to make sure I was home when they arrived...sighhh. But I need my washer so I guess it is worth the wait. I never realized how hard it is with out having one to use...I really took my washing machine for granted. Hopefully nothing else will break on me this week, I wont handle it well.....

Belle is home
we decided not to go over to the lake tonight, we think it will be too much for Belle, if she has a good night tonight maybe we will head on over tomorrow for a few days. Besides Willow is still under the weather too.... so we will order take out tonight and stay home with the Pugs......
Belle Update
Keep your fingers and paws crossed...The vet just called me and has Belle in surgery as I write this for her nasal wedge. He found a Lump in her upper lip and thinks it should be biopsied. So I gave him the consent to remove it and have it tested.... It may just be a fatty deposit but just in case I want to be sure it makes sense for her to have it done now that she is already under rather than make her go through it again...... sighhhh these Pugs really stress me out!
::::UPDATE #2::::
Phew....now that the Vet removed the "Bump" he says it is nothing serious...it looks like it is a ulcer. They told me what kind but I can't remember for the life of me....so no worries what ever it was is gone now........ sorry to worry you all! She is out of surgery and they said her nasal wedge was a success and is resting and coming out if her anesthesia nicely.

I need Pug Insurance!
Yep...Belle. As most of you know she is a loud and noisy breather. We learned back a few months ago that her left nasal passage is collapsed and her having such a flat face really makes it hard on her breathing. So tomorrow Morning she goes in to have a nasal wedge done to open up her nasal passages to help her breath easier.....
we and the vet thought it would be best for Belle to have her nose surgery the same time she has her patella surgery on her left leg but that is not until the end of summer and now that it is so hot and humid she really needs her nose done now. So tomorrow she is getting a Nose Job!Here is a video to let you hear how loud she is...she breaths like this all the time. This is mild compared to when she is hot...
Now for Willow.... The past 5 days she has had a VERY runny nose, sneezing ( both regular sneeze and the inverted sneeze they do) then last night we noticed she was really congested to the point where she couldn't breath out her nose, she has to breath through her mouth, as she slept beside me I could feel a rattle in her chest.........
I made a Dr. apt and the Dr. listened and examined her and found she has swollen lymph-nodes, a fever and her lungs are yucky ......her diagnosis is Upper Respiratory Infection. So here she is soaking in a tepid bath with her special Pug Bubbles ( to sooth her itchy skin) to help bring down her fever. She has not ate much the past 2 days....I am hoping once the antibiotics kick in she will be able to breath easier and will want to eat. ( I know when I am sick with a head cold being all stuffed up I hate to eat too ) I bet Willow wishes she was having the nose job done in the Morning with Belle to help her breath better. The vet said give it a few days for the antibiotics to take effect. The vet asked if Belle or Turbo have shown any symptoms as Willow, I said no not at all, I remembered and mentioned to him that Belle and Turbo both had UTI's last week and are both on antibiotics for that and he said the antibiotics probable helped then fight off the illness because Willow is very contagious.... He said before he performs Belle's surgery in the Morning he will check her over and if there is any question he will postpone her surgery if he feels she may have caught Willow' illness....
O.M. Turbo really enjoys a good campfire!
