I'm not sure if it really takes a village to raise a child, but apparently it takes a village to dress mine! My friend Heidi lent me this yellow dress for Erin because it just looks perfect for her. When I was telling my friend Cindee about it, she whipped up an adorable flower clip to go with it. She also did one to go with her green dress that we were going to get pictures with the cousins in. How cute is this girl, especially when she's mad?

She was much happier taking pictures inside...

Brandon took pity on me and cut down some funny video clips. First we have Binkie the Bunny. My parents gave this stuffed bunny to Erin for Easter and she would not stop sucking on it! The kid will rarely take a binkie, who knew all she needed was a bunny! The second video was me trying to capture Ben giving Erin a "haircut" using blocks as clippers. Of course he wouldn't do it once the camera was out, but what I did get was still pretty cute.

As for a potty training update, he's still doing really well. As long as things don't fall apart now, I think we're on track!

Let the Good Times Roll

Wow, what a week. Here's what's going on. Erin hit the 4 month mark and weighs just over 12 pounds now. That keeps her at about the 20th percentile for weight, her height however jumped to the 60th percentile.

On Friday we headed to Moab for Easter. We hadn't been there since the deer hunt last October, so this was Erin's first visit. It was also our first long car trip with her. Overall I think it went pretty well. She did get sick the day we came home, but that just meant an extra long stop in Price and great sleeping the rest of the time.

Ben's cousin, Maddy, was staying at Grandma's too. They had so much fun together. Maddy is 2 years older, so of course Ben had to do everything she did. (Including using the potty, hooray!)

Ben was really into the egg hunt this year, but being the youngest he was a little too slow so the bigger cousins had to help.

Did you really expect my kids' Easter baskets to look any different?
Being the good big brother he is, Ben decided he had better tend Erin's eggs for her...
Thanks to Nana & Papa for the adorable Easter dress.
As you can see, we had a great time. It wasn't the warm sunny Moab we were hoping to escape to, but we still got some 4-wheeler riding in.
And on a final note, we are starting serious potty training this week! I decided to skip the pull-ups and just jump into training underwear. So far he's doing pretty well. He even went in the Wal-Mart potty today with no problem! Wish me luck. I'm sure I'll be back asking for advice in the coming weeks. ;)

Random Kidness

I promised a video of Ben playing "E" a long time ago. And of course it's fun to see Erin in action. So here are some random videos and pictures of my little munchkins. Sorry if they're kind of long, I never figured out how to cut them down.

Ben loves giving Erin kisses, and these are serious kisses. Here's the look on her face every time she's attacked.
This is Erin's favorite place to chill- right on top of the kitchen table. But now that she's figuring out the rolling thing, it's had to come to an end.
So this morning, as Brandon was about to walk out the door, Ben says he wants to hold Erin. I get him sat down and hand her over and he looks at Brandon and says, "Daddy take a picture." Of course the camera is upstairs and by the time we decide it's worth running up for, come back, and get it turned on, the moment is over. Here's the aftermath though.

Playtime

Last weekend my parents brought my niece and nephew down so the girls could take the kids to the park while the guys worked on the fence.

I love having a park so close, it's going to be a fun summer!

Building Fences

At the first hint of warm weather, Brandon is itching to get out to the yard and start projects. Our goals for this summer are a fence, a sandbox, build-up the garden, and a shed. So, I did our taxes and we're putting our refund to work. Of course, at this point I'm on kid duty. But once the fence is done I can send Ben out to help daddy without Brandon having to stop and chase him down every couple of minutes. And once it stops snowing and warms up a little it will be easier to take Erin out too.

Here is the progress thus far. We have 2/3 of the posts in. We had hoped to get the rest in this week, but that darn spring snow! Oh well, it will be nice to have more play time with Daddy this weekend.

Until it's done, here's where the fence is living....
We also need to build a retaining wall along the back. This is the block we're going to use. Lots of work ahead!
