Family Day & Father's Day

Saturday was the annual Family Day for Brandon's work. Previously, this has been a lunch meeting in a warehouse followed by games for the kids on the lawn. This year they went all out and had it at Boondocks! The weather wasn't great, but we still had fun.

Ben LOVED the bumper boats. Who cares that it's cold and windy when you can float and spray a water gun at the same time?

Ben wasn't as thrilled with the go-karts. He didn't get upset or anything, just looked a little terrified the whole time.

And last, but not least, my terribly late Father's Day posting-

We just spent the whole day hanging out with Daddy.

Even Erin was in on the present opening.

The kids weren't being super-cooperative, so Brandon ended up doing a lot of the cooking (and cleanup) for his special day. But check out the hamburger he made for dinner! Mine wasn't too shabby either.
Happy Father's Day to all the great Dad's in my life. I don't know what I'd do without you!

Twins!

We've found Erin's long lost twin....

he was just born 2 years earlier. I know siblings often look alike, I just didn't think that my kids did. They have such different personalities and each have their own looks and expressions. Then I found pictures of Erin and Ben at the same age, with the same expression, and I realized that they look a lot alike. Brandon worked his photoshop magic and voila, twins.

6 months and growing...

Man time flies! My baby girl is 6 months old! She weighs 14 lbs, 12 oz and is 26.25 inches long. This keeps her just under the 30th percentile for weight and around 70th for height. She has suddenly become aware of this need to travel. She'll roll if she has to, but she really wants to figure out an alternate route. She tries to scoot on her tummy, but bucking on her back seems to get her farther. What a funny girl. Blonde hair is coming in like crazy, but she hasn't lost the dark feathery stuff on the top and base of her head. She is so much fun, and Ben is LOVING the emerging interactive friend. Once again, I didn't think to take pictures until bedtime. However, Nana made sure she had GIRL jammies to wear this time.

There are little ladybugs on the feet, she kept trying to put them in her mouth.

Big helper, Ben, reading to Erin while we scramble to get ready for church. So cute.

Family Fun

We had time to kill and a park in sight...not too hard to figure that one out!
