Boy oh boy!

Ben is very excited about a baby brother coming along. Of course, he knew it was a boy from the start and has been lovingly calling him "baby Drew" ever since we told him I was pregnant. We've yet to decide if we're going to keep Ben's name of choice. I'm sure Erin has no idea what we're talking about when we say a baby will be coming to live at our house. She does love babies and doesn't mind if Mommy holds one, but I think Daddy will have to watch his step. She'll barely share her Daddy with Ben! I never feel like I can really start getting ready for a baby until I know if it's a boy or girl, so...let the preparations begin!

Staycation

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen took us on a vacation before they leave for a mission to Hawaii in November. We decided to do more of a "staycation" with our little ones in tote. It was lots of fun and the kids did great!

Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point

Ben rode alone. Erin was so excited to ride, but then wouldn't let Brandon even set her down on the pony.

Our makeshift naps for a couple of days.

We hit the Gateway Children's museum first thing in the morning and were able to stay ahead of the crowds.

Some of our "fine dining" :)

The Train Museum
The kids LOVED chasing the model trains.

The Dinosaur Park
Ben was actually pretty afraid of being close to the dinosaurs, until he found his STICK. Once he had a defense system, he knew he was in charge.

The Zoo
Erin was making Lion noises.

This was Ben's favorite exhibit.

Hill Aerospace Museum
It was a great vacation and we all had such a good time. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!

Little Fuzz

That's right, baby #3 is on the way. The nicknamed "Little Fuzz" is due March 9th, but given my track record of early deliveries our goal date is February 9th. I thought it was a boy, but that was when I wasn't getting very sick...now I'm not so sure. But we are very excited. It's fun to let Ben in on it now that he's old enough to understand what we're talking about. So, stay tuned for more fun and excitement in the Jensen world!

Fun Month

The past few weeks have been very exciting. First, there were the 24th celebrations. First we went to the parade here in "Spork."
This was Ben's favorite float, which means we couldn't get him to turn around for a picture.

We went to my parent's house to celebrate my mom's birthday. She got a slip'n'slide for the occasion. My kids LOVE slides, adding water only sweetens the deal.
Yes, that's a happy face above, not a cry.

Ben & Jen opted to crawl down, they just couldn't get a hold of the stomach sliding.
We did an early fireworks show since our kids go to bed before the sun. Ben was pretty excited about the sparklers that he could do all by himself.
Erin is trying to take over as the puzzle prodigy. I tried to post video of her doing this one in less than a minute, but it wouldn't post.
Our latest adventure was a long-overdue trip to Moab to visit Brandon's parents. We got to pick some fresh fruit from the orchard. Yumm.
We also went camping! First we stopped to fish on a neighbor's mountain ranch. They have some stalked ponds that we did catch and release on.
Erin & Ben got in on the action at first, then watched a movie with Grandma once they were bored.
We caught some awesome fish. This wasn't the biggest one we caught, but we were trying to be so careful with them that they would get off before we got a good picture.
Before we left the Ranch the kids got to meet the horses.
Did I mention that my kids love slides?
The campsite...
Erin was keeping herself and Grandpa safe from the bugs.
Love that dutch oven cooking...and cook!
This is the remnant of a very wild night for mom.
Ben loves the 4-wheeler, Erin loves to try and say 4-wheeler.
Classic Erin expression.
Daddy teaching Ben to play horseshoes.

The kids got a little more than wet at the fishing ponds.
Overall it was a pretty fun time.

Lastly, our garden is growing like crazy...

kind of like our kids.

Such a cute daddy's-girl.
