thanks to my smart dad's idea, I started a new blog for 2011.
It's link is on this blog under Draper Family 2011.
Right now I'm moving all of this years blogs over, then I will begin adding new posts. I'm still working on a site that prints out blogs. I haven't found one I really like, but I did get QnADrapers 2009 blog book printed. Its pretty fun to have. So... off to work on a new blog....

Picture overload
I started to add more pictures to my blog and an error occurred. I guess I've used up all my free space on blogger and now must pay for more storage.
Meanwhile, I'm looking into scrap booking my pictures from 2011 into another program...
so for the time being, no new posts from us for a bit!!!
(sorry to the few of you who actually follow us!:)

Feb. 9, 2011.
12 years ago this day,Quinn and I drove our little Honda accord to Bannock Hospital to deliver our first little baby.
We didn't know if we were having a boy or girl, and we were thrilled when the doctor yelled- "It's a girl" loud enough for my parents to hear who were standing outside the curtain!
Somehow- 12 years have passed and Makayla Marie is now in Young Women's.
She has always been a happy helper around the house, and a great bis sister. She's been babysitting our kids for us, and is now ready to be babysitting for others too.
For her birthday, Allie, Lance and I brought lunch to school.
We went and bought Subway Sandwiches, and then found Pirate Booty a the store. Her favorite snack. While we were there Lance saw that Chippette, Eleanor and said, "Look- it's sissy". So he took that doll to her for lunch. Then her friends, Kara & Helana helped me take cookies back to her class for after lunch!
When she got home from school there were flowers sent from Grandpa J!
Then her Dad came home with some of his favorite flowers for her. These are some of her favorite guys. Glad they were the first ones to buy her flowers!
Then she opened some presents.
The Mathisons sent her this puppy puzzle! She's excited to do it. Dylan was saying, "Ahh cute little puppies" when I took the picture.
Some cute clothes and earring from Grandma J.
Then some more clothes from mom and dad. Moms wondering how many more years until we can share.
Then she got to go to Young Women's on her birthday! They had a fun valentine party/ welcome makayla party. She loved it.
More presents from Grandma Draper, a cool CD with Young Women's songs and a new sweatshirt, and some gift cards from Aunts and Uncles she wants to go use.
She invited some friends over for a movie night too... we'll get those pictures up next!
Some beautiful flowers for a beautiful birthday girl!
We love you Makayla!

Bend, Oregon
Quinn was supposed to go to Bend for a work retreat, but the retreat was cancelled. The Crofts have a cabin there, and told us we could go use it because they weren't going to be using it for work. We took the kids out of school Friday and drove down about 4 hours just past Bend, to Sunriver.
We got there LATE Thursday night, and Friday morning we woke up and got in the hot tub!
Check out Lance showing his muscles like the big boys!
Then the kids played around the cabin for a bit. There is a ping pong table in the garage.
Then we drove into Bend and went to a family fun center for some family fun.
Check out our bowling shoes.
After bowling we went out back and hit some balls in the batting cages.
(And ate the candy we won with tickets from the arcade.)
Makayla was proud to hit 5 balls on her turn!
Then we ate lunch and went back to the cabin to play and wait for cousins to join us!
This was the girls room:
Downstairs the boys found some video games to keep them busy.
Then our cousins from Salem made it- so we ate dinner and went back into the hot tub!
Here's Allie, Cameron, Dylan, McKenzie and Makayla.
Saturday morning we woke up to a big hot breakfast and got ready for a busy day!
Ummm...
Uncle Marcus found our camera.
Quinn & Marcus took the older kiddos to try skiing on Mt. Bachelor for a bit. Melanie and I stayed back with the others and played. Macie, Allie and Lace played in the snow out front.
Here's the Ski-ers back from a great trip!
Time for a yummy dinner- then back out for ice skating.
Then back for cake and ice cream for theses bday girls.
Mckenzie turned 11 on Jan. 26th, and Makayla turns 12 next week- Feb. 9th!
Sunday morning we all got ready for church, then headed home.
What a fun weekend!
A little piece of our view on the ride home!
Sunday at the Tree house
Quinn has been spending much of his free time working on this tree house at his parents place. Since they only live 5 minutes away, we have adopted their yard as our yard too. Some sunny Sunday afternoons we grab our coats and boots and go play in their yard.
I brought my camera to get some pictures of the tree house Quinn's been working so hard on.
Makaylas love going out to grandpas yard and wants to be the first one in the tree house each time.
This swing has been in the tree long before the tree house- all the grand kids love it.
I had some fun with my camera in the beautiful light- so here are lots of pictures of the tree house!
Looking up under the tree house from the tree:
There is now a ladder going up to the next floor.
Trying to get a picture of Grandma:
Here's Squirt. He is Tyler's dog, who lives at Grandpas, but Quinn and Makayla call him their dog too. They LOVE to go play with Squirt!
Shooting guns off the tree house into the sunset!
