Fun at the Park
The park in our neighborhood was recently renovated and the kids LOVE it. We've been there a couple of times this week and here are some pictures from our visits...
Aidan and Grey on the slide. It was nearly impossible to get them to sit at the top together for a picture before one of them got too excited and had to go down.

Grey and Aidan had fun popping bubble wrap after skinny dipping in the pool. Out of about 10 pictures this was the only one in which there were no "weiners" showing. You're welcome.

Pinata Fun at the Mack's
There was a left-over pinata from Sarah's 3rd birthday party so we busted it open at playgroup this week. There was a ton of candy and Susan made me bring home a bag =) Grey has been asking for a "ladypop" every couple of hours since.
Aidan winds up for the first swing!
After a round of hits Chris has to step in (this time with Grey) to move things along. The final blows were Chris pounding on it all by himself.
I had forgotten that the pool was going to be up and didn't bring Grey a swim suit. So he borrowed one of Sarah's swim bottoms. I think flowers and turqoise suit him well, no?
Heather and I were inside avoiding mosquitos when I noticed that Aidan and Grey were double fisting lollipops and sharing them (Grey started out with two and Aidan one). When I went out with the camera they put on quite a show.

Ice Cream Festival and Contest
Heather and I entered a homemade ice cream making contest at the 2nd Annual Ice Cream Festival. Our flavors were bluebarb and caramelized pear, respectively. We decided early on that foodies better be judging or we would be toast.
Turns out the judges were of the younger variety and the winning ice cream was basically the flavor of fireball candies. Figures...

Our beloved TC moves on...
Tracy ("TC" as Grey called her when he was learning how to talk) became Dr. Tracy, PhD last week and stayed with us for her last few days =(
Tracy holding the babies. Aubry was super crabby while Tracy was here, poor Tracy thought it was her, but it turned out Aubry was getting two teeth that week. She has 18 teeth now!
Tracy's dad was a big hit... in fact, when asked who he liked better, Tracy or Tracy's dad, Grey said, "TC's dad." Uh-oh.

Another Goodie for my Snoo Bears
This is the handbag from the Fenchy Bag pattern by Amy Butler. It's a small purse size; the bag part is less than 12 inches tall. There's also a shoulder bag which is a bit bigger and has a longer strap. This was so easy to make, if anyone reading this wants one just let me know, I can do it super fast. Seriously. For real.

July Trip to El Paso and Ruidoso
We traveled to El Paso to say goodbye to Jon, Geoff's uncle. He had a Navy ceremony that was very reverent and beautiful. He was a decorated officer and loved so dearly by his girls, Sunny and Kristi.
The soldier is handing the folded flag to Kristi; it was a very moving moment.
On to Ruidoso we went... here are Sunny and Charles on Uncle Steve's swing (before the flood, see below).

The flood... the kids had been playing behind Steve's cabin. In front of his house (facing the camera) was a road. You can see the swing behind a tree just a tad left of center in the picture. The water rose another 3 feet and the swing is no more =(
Aubry is rocking out to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" on the way back to El Paso, trying to forget about the mass destruction taking place at that moment in Ruidoso.
Grey made new friends in Mimi and Grangrad's backyard.
