Enchanted Rock (again)

Yes, I drag every visiting soul that can walk to Enchanted Rock. It's one of my favorite places. I think Sierra stayed back with Jude. You'll see more Enchanted Rock pics in March when we took Jude up. Big mistake. Anyway, Aubry is showing us where we will end up and quickly procures herself some transportation for the climb.

Using my fish-eye lens this time. See the curvature of the horizon... sweet! It was super windy on the rock.

No really, it was very windy.

Pretty sure Grey didn't make it all the way over. Looks cool anyway!

Thanksgiving 2011

Pop Pop and Gramma Carol, Sierra and Malia visited for Thanksgiving. We went to Heather and Cory's house to celebrate.

November 2011

Most of these pictures are just random. Like this cute one of the middle and youngest offspring.

My friend from W&M, Anne (Chemistry professor at Michigan - so proud of her!), gave a seminar at UT and hung out with the Smiffs for a few days. She was pregnant in this picture but kept it a secret until a couple of months later. Grrr! Check out baby info here! The little guy is due pretty much now.

Dave and I had a bet on who could run the 5 mile Turkey Trot faster. I shamed him with a 9 minute lead. I believe he had to walk some of it.

Aubry earned wedding Barbie by finally ceasing to suck her thumb. It worked for about a month.

She was born posing. It comes naturally. She has a mean twirl, too.

Brooke and Phil's wedding in Vermont, October 2011

Pam and I met in Vermont last fall for Brooke and Phil's wedding. Vermont and the wedding were beautiful!

The reception was in a ski museum... we're not actually on a lift!

We went covered bridge hunting. This was one of our better finds. We gave up after driving all over the countryside to find just a few pretty ones.
