Saturday morning fun!

The girls enjoyed a Saturday morning playdate with older cousins Katie & Sophie! It's always so much fun to see the triplets try to keep up with the big girls and they love their cousins....

Makena gets her groove on!

The girls have started to show off their dance moves when we play music and I was able to get a quick video clip of Makena bustin' a move to the old "Tag Team" classic....

I tried to get Lissy to join in, but she wasn't going for it. Maybe next time!

"Bruiser" has her first fat lip

Riley, a.k.a. Bruiser, tripped over mommy's big feet on Sunday and has a fat lip to show for it. Poor baby. I felt horrible that I wasn't able to get my petite size 10's out of the way in time or catch her on her descent to the tile floor. I think it looks worse in this picture than it felt...she only cried for a few seconds, but LOVED the cuddling she got after it happened. I think she actually looks a bit proud in the picture, with a little smile on her face! Another one up on her sisters....since Riley has the track record for being the first to do most things.

Practice for the Easter Bunny

Our local Mothers of Multiples club had their annual Easter egg hunt for the kids on Saturday, so we took the girls out to get their first taste of an egg hunt. They had more fun running around and weren't too concerned about collecting eggs, but we had a great time enjoying the beautiful morning. Even better, there were no meltdowns to and from or at the event! Here are some pictures from the day. And in case anyone is wondering why Alyssa isn't in many of the pictures, it is because she was out running laps (literally) in the park. We couldn't keep her in one place...guess the kid doesn't get out much! Grandma and Grandpa Quilao met us there to help us with the girls. Thanks to Auntie Ly for the cute dresses. The girls looked adorable in them!

18 months has come and gone....

And our babies are growing up!
It really is hard to believe that it has been a year and a half since they were born and all that we have been through since then. The girls have come so far. Most people who meet them would never guess they were born at just 25 weeks and 1 day gestation. We are so thankful everyday for our little girls. So what's new in the Quilao house?

The girls are now only getting one bottle a day and the rest of their milk is given in the sippy cup. This is a picture of the girls drinking their milk before bed. The best part is that they drink it cold, which means they don't have to wait for the milk to get warm and less screaming tantrums I have to hear!

Daddy likes to share his ice cream cones with the girls. They all wait patiently for their turn as he gives them all a lick!

The girls are highly amused and entertained by walking around the front room with their blankies over their heads. They look like 3 little zombies bumping into the walls, each other, and tripping over toys...while laughing, of course.

Our table in the nook has now become a mini jungle gym for the girls. They climb in between the bars and try to hang from the top like little monkeys.

This is a quick video clip of the girls playing in the table. Riley manages to get herself inside the bottom of the barstool and needs help from mom to get out!

Sisterly Love

Over the last 18 months, Makena, Alyssa and Riley have developed such a unique bond and have shown us just how special the relationship between sisters really is...

Your sister will always be there to give you a hug and kiss after a tough day

Sisters are always up for some juicy gossip

Sisters make the best napping partners

A good sister is always willing to give a relaxing foot massage (even if the method is questionable!)

Sisters will always be brutally honest with you and let you know when your outfit (or lack thereof) is horrible

A good sister is willing to be an accessory in "the crime"

No matter what, sisters will always have each other

Binkyholic

Our sweet Lissy has a severe addiction to her binkie(s), which often results in binky burglary when she:
A) Has only one binky in her possession
B) Sees that one of her sisters has a binky and decides it belongs to her instead
C) Is feeling rather feisty and wants to pick a fight with Riley or Makena

I fear the day when we make the decision to take the beloved binkies away....but for now we enjoy watching Lissy strut around the house with a binky in her mouth and one in each hand....alternating each of them in and out of her mouth, as if one tastes better than the other!

Afternoon at the park

We are lucky enough to live right around the corner from my brother and sister-in-law so the girls had a little fun at the park this afternoon with their cousins Katie and Sophie. Katie and Sophie love to help out with the girls! I need at least one extra set of hands when we go out, especially now that they are walking, so we are very fortunate to have family close by! The girls love playing in the bark even after discovering it doesn't make for a good snack. The girls tried out the swings and gave the slide a try.....we even had some admiring comments about our stroller while we were out (thanks daddy).

Here are my two attempts at taking a group picture of all the girls. My girls won't stay still long enough to take a quick pic!

Baby boy Bressington is here

My best friend Jessica and her husband Geoff are celebrating the birth of their son, Calum Anthony Bressington who was born today, March 12 at 12:36 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and is 20 inches long. Big brother Evan is looking forward to having his baby brother at home! Here are a few pictures from my visit to the hospital.

Feels like spring!

We had a great weekend enjoying the beautiful spring-like weather. I had to get out some shorts and t-shirts for the girls, who always seem to be happy with fewer clothes on! Everyone is getting more teeth....Riley has 3 molars coming in, Makena has 2 and Alyssa is trying to keep up with just one. Riley is using some new signs: light, ball and duck. Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Gotta love the pictures with no shirts on!
