Cruella DeVille was super easy. Mostly just compiling items together.

Costume needs:
Black long sleeved shirt
Black sequins dress/skirt
Boa
Dalmatian puppy
White tights & black spray paint
Cigarette made from red straw & tape.


1) insert swimming noodle into tights (or wrapping paper tube for smaller sizes)
Spray spots all over tights for the Dalmatian look.

Assemble costume & add white spray paint & BOOM...Cruella DeVILLE!

Queen of Hearts Costume

This costume we actually had, I found it at a yard sale months ago for $1! 


Cup, gold spray paint & red fabric over heart cardboard.

Evil Queen Costume
Costume needs:
Black cape
Purple dress
red sash
white collar
Gold Crown

Cape made from an old bathrobe bought at a yard sale. 
I made the big white collar from poster board and an old pillow case, 
sewn onto the collar of the cape. 
Gold crown made from poster board & spray painted gold.


Cost Breakdown:

Dress was borrowed from a neighbor - FREE

Captain Hook
All ITEMS were borrowed from our awesome neighbor. 
Costume needs: 
Foam Hat - Hot glue a Boa to get feather effect
Black curly wig
Dark Shirt
White lacy material for shirt & sleeves
Red jacket from D.I. - pinned up to fit my 7 yr old boy.
Hook from dollar store (already had)
Belt - had

The evilness is even more AWESOME when its done CHEAP!!

I did Jafar right after doing my Maleficent costume. I thought this one would be the most time consuming and maybe difficult. It wasn't too bad. Time consuming YES!

Gown & Cape DIY
Materials needed:
Black material / I used an Adult Black ghoul costume
Red material 
Cardboard
Hot glue & glue gun

1) I cut old costume into two big piece. I cut the collar in. 
2) Sew the top of dress together, leaving collar open (sew collar under if needed). Sew sides of dress together, leaving arm holes. Sew arm holes in for easy hem. Surge bottom for hem.
3) Cut red material & sew sides for a sash.


4) Cut triangular shaped cardboard pieces. Cover with extra black material & hot glue.
5) Use extra black material to make cape. Line cape with Red material (I used old t-shirts) 
Gown & Cape DONE!


Headpiece DIY
Materials needed: 
Cardboard
extra black material
red material
cording OR extra gold/white material
gold spray paint
Hot Glue & Glue Gun

1) Cut cardboard 7" wide & long. Curve cardboard to make a cylinder shape. 
Secure shape with stapler or hot glue. Cut another cardboard into triangle shape. Secure to front of headpiece with glue or staples.

2) Cut Black fabric to make a cone like shape. glue inside top of material to secure the cone shape. 
Slip fabric over the cardboard headpiece & glue around. 

3) Cut cording or extra material into strips. Paint Gold. Hot glue onto headpiece. 

4) Cut red material into a feather like shape. OR Use a feather. 
Cut more red material to cover a circular shaped cardboard. Secure with HOt glue. 
Glue Red "Jewel" shape into center, add Feather/Feather shape material. Secure with Hot Glue.

5) Cut red material into a long rectangle: 6" x 18" to be the neck cover. Secure to the inside of the headpiece with hot glue.


 Snake Staff DIY
Materials: 
wrapping paper tube
newspaper
tape
Hot glue & gun

1) scrunch newspaper into circular shape. Add tape to help mold into a snout for the snake. 
Add more newspaper & tape to create the head. 
Secure head to staff with tape. 

2) spray paint staff gold

3) Hot glue 2 drops for eyes on the staff. I did this 3 times to get desired size. 
4) Paint eyes red with nail polish. 
BOOM! Evil snake staff!

Probably my easiest costume EVER! 
Togas are so fun. 

Materials needed: 
black sheet 
cardboard
black & white paint
Grey fabric
Greyish-Greenish old shirt
B&W face paint ($1/each = $2)
Blue hair paint ($2/can = $4)


1) Cut cardboard to skull shape
Paint skull face on. I painted white first, then black accents.


2) cut grey fabric (I have many scraps in my stash, this was leather)
2 shoulder to bottom of sleeves
2 collar pieces
Paint Greek design with Black paint


3) Cut collar of old shirt out, pin faux collar & sleeve pieces on. 
Quick stitch to secure. 
4) Wrap black sheet around, secure with safety pins
Secure Skull cardboard to Right shoulder of Toga.

5) Paint face with black & white face paint. 
Paint hair shades of blue to white ends. 

BONUS: Use creepy green or yellow contacts for FULL evil affect!
