I'm a Mom

I'm not sure if I deserve a reward or a reprimand, but while loading the dishwasher I noticed I was low on sippy cups. I just pulled 7 sippy cups out of my car. (And yes I know that's milk in some of them.)

Cookies and a New Table

Mikey likes to help me bake. We generally don't make edible things, but its fun. Since we've been without kitchen chairs (long story), Mikey stands on a folding chair. He gets so excited when I pull it out of the front closet because it means he gets to help with something.

On Saturday we went to Pruitt's and bought a new kitchen table. Mikey desperately wanted to help Josh put it together so Josh let him put in some of the screws and after he got over his fear of the screw gun noise, he helped with that part too.

We are transitioning Mikey to a booster seat so he can sit at the table with us. He was never a big fan of the high chair so he's pretty happy about being able to sit in a real chair.

Childrens Museum of Phoenix

Aww Mom, another photo?

My brother-in-law Brad had meetings in Phoenix on Friday so my sister Amy met up with me for our first time at this museum. Really fun, lots to do and crowded! All I can compare it to is that scene from Kindergarten Cop where all the kids are screaming and running back and forth and Arnold Schwarzenegger's eyes look like they're about to pop out. That was me. It calmed down in the afternoon after all the school groups left. We stayed from about 10:30 to 4:00. Mikey had such a good time and slept like a rock the entire way home. Here are some pics.

This is not a scene from Ghostbusters. In the art room they have a playhouse with about 500 layers of paint. Mikey was happy to add more. The kids also painted pictures. They have about 4-5 art projects going on at a time.

They have a complete mock grocery store with checkout stands and carts, tons of pretend food and a produce section.

Aubrey helped Mikey checkout his groceries.

Nate was more interested in the kitchen. They had every kind of cooking utensil, a pizza oven, pots and pans, etc.

Being the mean mom that I am, I had to snap a picture before rescuing Mikey. That's Aubrey driving and Nate is sitting in the back with Mikey. He'd had enough of the car wash.
Look at Amy's blog for more photos after she blogs about it (No pressure Amy :)

Flashback

These pictures were on a forgotten roll of 35 mil. film and then I almost forgot to pick them up even when I got them developed. Walgreens still had them after 3 months. Its a miracle because they are so priceless. Pretend we are back at Jacob's Lake 4 years ago.

Cute baby Tanner

egg toss - nice overalls Mom, although I'm not loving Josh's pants either ( I love you honey!)

group pic - I must be off hiking or something

Josh looks like he's singing something heartfelt here - Bad timing on my picture taking but I just thought the kids looked too cute.

I need to go back to the store and get the photo CD. My scans are pretty bad. Let me know if you want me to email them to you. - Love Rach

2 for 1

Save your Hickman's egg cartons. They have 2 for 1 entry into the Wildlife World Zoo coupons inside the lid! And then come with us. I have 2 coupons so far but I can't eat anymore eggs for awhile.
