Bubbles of Joy!

We have really been enjoying this warm weather, although it would be nice if it was a few degrees cooler. Maggie loves to go outside when Lucas is taking a nap and I know that sounds sad for Lucas since he's missing out but he is a crazy boy and tries to go in the street the whole time, besides, this way I can read outside while she plays or rides her bike. Yesterday she wanted to go out and blow some bubbles and I thought it was a good picture opportunity!

She demanded that SHE blow all the bubbles even if it was hard and you can see that she was painting earlier (the paint all over her arm, its not dirt, I do bathe my kids!)

What I've been up to.....

Since I've got a little burst of energy, I've decided to start nesting....it's not that I just decided one day "hey, I'm going to start nesting," its the only thing that can explain my need to clean out closests, get rid of a lot of stuff we don't use and re-do Maggie's room. I think I'm going to put the baby and Maggie together so I don't have to get rid of my hair room, but I'm not so sure that's going to be a great idea. Her room used to be a really light pink on the top and the ugliest minty green on the bottom,(what was I thinking). She will be 4 in July and I never attempted to put anything on her walls until yesterday. Because I'm trying to save money I had to use decorations I already had but I can't wait to buy some really cute stuff for the shelves and walls. Don't worry I won't keep her bed on the floor forever, I just have to buy one!

The tv will be a thing of the past when the baby gets here since the changing table will be in that spot.

This wall is where the crib will go, I have to repaint it first.

She was so excited for her new blanket and went right to bed when we put it on that night.

Of course Lucas had to get his picture taken so he didn't feel left out. Anytime the camera is out he runs up to me and says "cheese!"

Our little peanut

This ultrasound was taken almost 2 months ago but I finally got my scanner to work so I thought I'd share our little peanuts first photo! I will get another ultrasound with some better pics in a month or so but I think she's going to look like Lucas. She is very active and I'm starting to nest away and get everything ready for her. I can't wait to have another little baby in our home and family!

Dune Trip

We knew President's Day weekend would be a busy one but Russell and I were both itching to get out of town with the kids. It was either a 4 hour drive to the cabin and snow or 4 hours to the dunes, we chose the latter obviously and we had a lot of fun. Since being pregnant I can't ride anything but I love just hanging out with the kids and doing absolutely nothing! We went with the Caldwells, Woods, and a bunch of other friends of theirs and had a good time. It was pretty busy but that makes for good sand drags which the kids love to watch.

Because I couldn't go out into the dunes with Russell to get some sweet pics I snapped some of him messing around on the little track we camped next to.

This boy can ride wheelies for days, up hills, up and around huge bowls, you name it....he's done it.

I think my kids favorite part was eating popcicles...day or night, warm weather or not.

Lucas was too cool to look at the camera

The kids discovered a gathering place for big red ants and were obsessed with playing with them
Maggie and Ethan Caldwell

He just stares at me.......

and if I stand there long enough I can get a smile out of him

"Yummy, yummy in my tummy"

The hand on the hip is Maggies' new pose for most pictures

Oranges are another favorite, you can see the bump on his head is still healing, hopefully it won't leave a perma-dent

Happy Day!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Today was an eventful day. I woke the kids up and we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast with pink frosting, then it was off to Gracie girls house for a birthday party. I rushed home after I dropped Maggie off so I could clean the kitchen and living room before Russell woke up and then it was back to get Maggie and take her to her school party. After venturing to Walgreens for some last minute cards and candy, I went back to get Maggie and took her home. I was so happy and suprised to see beautiful flowers from my valentine on the counter and then we went out to lunch with the kids instead of dinner tonight seeing how every restraunt will be packed to the limit. Maggie and I made some yummy chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy for dessert after dinner! I love V-Day, now that I'm married and have a family, it's not so fun when your single unless you have a signifigant other in your life. I hope everyone had a great day and shared and felt the love of all those that you care about!
Sorry we just got a new printer, scanner, thing and I obviously don't know how to scan these pictures in regular size so sorry about the minis.

Oh Sunny Day

(sorry about this fuzzy picture, I don't know how to delete them)
I love the winter when it's Christmas time but as soon as the new year begins, I'm ready for spring. I was so happy to walk outside this morning and feel the warm sun on my back so I decided to quickly tidy up the house and get the kids out of it! We went to the park with my sister Charlon and 3 of her kids and then we ventured to good ol' Sonic for some grub. I could stay outside all day when the weather is so nice!

Chloe Mae, always ready for a smile

I couldn't get Cole to look at the camera for anything!

You can tell by her rosy cheeks how warm it was out there! 77 degrees today!

This park had huge slides and Lucas wasn't afraid of any of them! He loved it.
