A few things....

I just happened to capture this little diddy tonight after bathtime. It's nice to know that for as much as Maggie teases Lucas and "accidently" hurts him, that deep down she really does love the little chunk. They aren't supposed to eat on the carpet or couch so they have to get as close as they can while still being on the tile. I thought it was too cute to not take a pic.

Of course as soon as they saw the flash, it was over in a short moment, but a sweet one it was.

Kennedy Park
This is the newest addition to my in-laws place that is already pretty great as it is. They've been wanting to get a swing set for the grandkids and a swingset they got. Not only that but they now have their own "park" in the backyard. The kids absolutely love it and I love that the swings are sturdy enough for adults too! My kids were dying to go play at Grandma Kennedys "park". You think you'll be seeing me at any regular park anytime soon? Not if I can go to a secluded one all by myself!!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy for loving your grandkids and spoiling them with this awesome playground!

This is the kids running to the "park" for the first time

Lucas and Krew

Maggie on the zebra... those spring toy things.

Even Grandma Kennedy went down the twirly slide!

The awesome industrial strength, school type swing set.

Sprinklers anyone?
So the other day it was around that time, you know the couple hours before dinner that make me want to scream because my kids are bored to death? I thought it was a nice warm day and maybe they would like to put their swimsuits on and run through the sprinklers, a common summer activity that all the white trash kids like me did when you don't have a pool close or handy.(no offense to WT'ers) Well we lathered em' up with sunscreen and turned the water on and they maybe got their hands wet....a little.

She's standing on the bricks 10ft. away from the water, trying to let just her hands get wet.

"looks nice but ya right"

Just enjoing the pretty water dropletts and the rainbow it makes in the sun.

As you can see, the water mist is so thin that you can barely see the water at all and she still wouldn't get close.

My sweet little big headed boy. Oh well it was worth a try!

It's Official

Went to the Dr. yesterday, baby is still measuring big, not as big as Lucas was but big. Not much going on downstairs but I have an induction appt. on May 13th at 5am! Not too thrilled with the date but what can you do? I'm hoping for a miracle, going into labor on my own on the 10th sounds great and I like that date better.....we'll see. At least there's a for sure date in sight!

Am I There Yet?

Seriously, after last nights sleep or not, I am asking myself "am I there yet?" I go to the Dr. on Friday to "make a plan" for when this baby will make her arrival since I have to be induced. What would it be like to go into labor on my own? I have no idea. I think I am totally ready for this baby to come except the carseat, I have to wait for it to be available online before I can order it. I am soooo done with being prego although I can't complain too much because I don't have hard pregnancies at all, just the regular mumbo-jumbo that comes with it. To top the day off, I took Maggie to get her teeth cleaned and she has 9 yes 9 new cavities! The sad thing is that it's not her fault, it's mine for not flossing her teeth everyday and letting her eat fruit rollups, fruit snacks, juice boxes, etc. So if you don't want to pay out the bum for fillings, I suggest you not let your kids eat that crap either! I can only be mad at myself. Oh well, at least they aren't her permanent teeth! She actually loves going to the dentist....so far.

Girls Night Out!!

My Mom, sister, niece and sis-in-laws had LONG overdue girls night out. It was so nice to have a little time away from the kids and house and what not to just sit and eat yummy food, shop, and talk. We went to Cheesecake Factory which is always yummy and then we shopped around the mall. My moms birthday is tomarrow so it was nice to celebrate! Thanks girls for a great night....even though I was barely walking around the mall like an old lady because my belly gurth is rediculously large!!!

Heidi, Charlon, Mom, Hailey, and Nona

Same but with my sexy belly in the middle

Who are we kidding with all this food? Don't worry we did pretty good and ate almost everything!

Beautiful girls! I can't believe Hailey, my oldest niece looks like she's at least 16. Shes a beauty, it was fun to have her come with us!

I had my second ultrasound today and of course this baby is measuring 2 weeks big! Just like Lucas. The tech said she had a huge head but when she turned the measurements into cm. her head right now is only at 9cm which is a lot smaller than Lucas' which at this point was already at 12. Who knows. All I know is if she is already over 6lbs now, what the heck is she going to be in 4 weeks? If I had her in 4wks that is still 2wks. before my due date but I'm thinking that not going to make a difference, the 2wks early with Lucas didn't help at all so we'll see. I was so hoping she was going to tell me that this baby was measuring normal.....I just make em' big and healthy! Where does she get those big lips from? I have no idea, Russell said maybe from her black daddy....ha ha.

Firehouse Fieldtrip

Maggie had her 2nd field trip of the school year and they went to the firestation. This last week they learned all about fire safety so it was really fun and cute to see them get so excited at the fire station. Funny thing is, she was just loungin around during the "lesson" part of the trip when the fireman was telling them the 5 rules they should learn and remember about fire safety and when I asked her what they were on the way home she had no idea what I was talking about. I'm sure she was day dreaming the whole time so good thing mom was paying attention. She did retain the "stop, drop and roll" method which is important. Oh well you take what you can!

This truck that they are all touching was pretty big so they all had to feel it I guess.

Fireman Dave showing how to stop, drop and roll. As you can see, Maggie is just laying there relaxing.

I'm glad she made herself feel at home.

This was right at the beginning when they let us in, Maggie was pretty excited.

Wasn't too thrilled about the firehat until later that night.

Capt. Dave, the kids and Miss Leslie.

I was lucky to get this shot because he only wore that hat for like 10 seconds.

When the fireman put on all his fire gear he sounded like darth vadar when he talked and the kids were not to keen on that image. He had to remind them that if their house was on fire and a man came in looking and sounding like he did, not to be afraid. Instead of covering her eyes because he looked scary, Maggie chose to cover her ears?

The "Maggie Pose"...she doesn't learn it from me.

Nesting

Sorry these pictures are out of order, my blogger is being weird. Anywho, these are some of the things I've been doing since I'm done with hair and actually have the time to do! I am finally attempting to decorate my room so this was the first thing to change...the dresser. Its a very strong, sturdy dresser and since I don't want to spend the $ on a new one right now, I decided to paint it. The "before" picture is at the bottom of the page. This is the "after". Do you like all the clothes from the drawers sprawled all over my bed in the reflection?

I think some of my nesting has rubbed off on Russell because he finally decided to clean and organize our garage of which you could not walk through before....I'm not kidding, it was a mess!

He's so happy that he can actually see all his tools and access them easily when he needs them. He used to ask me....like I would have any idea where they would have been.

This bad boy is his new prized possesion. Since diesel gas is outrageously expensive and he drives 54miles round trip a day, this little baby will help save us money. Maggie now has a new appreciation for her dad, as he drove off yesterday she looked at me and said "Mom, Dad is so cool."

Russell couldn't be prouder of his little boy. When Lucas found the Cycle Trader that Russell had been looking at and figured out that there were tons of pictures of motercycles in it, he wouldn't put it down. He carried it around for 3 hrs. one day saying "vroom vroom!" Who knew that a magazine worth 2 bucks would keep him so entertained.

Here is the pile of clothes that I decided to keep and I am so excited! This little baby is pretty set with all of Maggies old stuff. I was so glad to have a girl again so I could use all of it again.

Changing table, ready to go....as soon as I get Lucas' diapers out of it.

I had to have Russell put another shelf rack in Maggies closet so I could move her clothes to the bottom and the babies to the top.

I've also been trying to buy diapers whenever they are on sale so I don't have to worry about running out to buy them when she's here. I couldn't believe how many blankets I had as well, but I still want to make some cute fluffy ones, you can never have too many blankets.

Here's the "before" picture of the dresser, no it's not missing a drawer I had just taken it out to sand it.

Catching up....

BEWARE!!! These two pictures are incredibly scary and embarassing but for all you belly lovers that want to see a pic....here you go. I did not want to look at the camera because 1. I have not had my hair done since Christmas time 2. It's Sunday, confrence sunday, and I did not do my hair or makeup 3. I am wearing Russells shirt because I am so sick of all my dumb shirts that don't fit because my belly sticks out so far and I just wanted to be comfy. Does it not look like I'm carrying this baby right under my chin practically?!

Then Russell told me to stop being dumb and just smile. Don't mind all my pregnancy freckles or should I say masks under my eyes. You know I look sexy, don't try to deny it........

Our house has been pretty busy yet boring in the past couple of weeks. I finished up working this last Saturday(yea!) and I feel a huge relief. Trying to get my house clean and organized and ready for baby has been mentally tiring and doing hair and trying to do everyday chores has kept me holed up at home! Russell and I started taking Love and Logic classes which I'm excited to learn and use on my kids, plus it's nice to get out of the house for a few hours each week.

My belly is getting bigger and sticking out farther and I'm hoping to only have 4-5 weeks left. I was surprised to see how many clothes Maggie had as a baby when I got it all down from the attic. It makes the time seem short as I have been washing all the clothes and blankets and putting the changing table back together. I can't wait to have another baby in our home, not looking forward to the change in sleep patterns but it comes with the territory! I will post pics of fun projects I'm going to be attempting as I attempt to do them along the way!
