The Boys Christmas Parties

Carson and Callahan had Christmas parties on Friday. Callahan's Christmas program and dinner was Friday night. The kids always look forward to this because Santa Claus (a.k.a "Ms. Linda's husband, Dale) comes and delivers them each a gift. The children also sing some Christmas songs and usually do some kind of song with costumes or props. Here is Callahan with Ashley, "Mrs. Osburn", his teacher.

Santa brought the boys Nerf guns! Callahan is really too young for it and hasn't played much with it, but he would insist on having Carson's if he didn't have one just like his so we went ahead and just got them both one. Carson and Wade have had lots of fun with them though! Me...not so much, I've been targeted a few times.

Here's Cal with the children about to sing. He actually sang a few lines!

Carson had his Christmas party on Friday afternoon at school. Here is a picture of him with his teacher, Mrs. Anderson, and one of his best buddies Baydon.

This video is not the best quality (a little blurry) since I grabbed my camera quickly and started recording without focusing first. Oh well! I just wanted to get Callahan on camera getting his present from Santa...I thought he would hesitate like he did last year, but he wasn't fearful at all!

Seeing Santa

The boys did great this year, I thought Cal might be a little scared, but he wasn't at all! He just jumped right up there with Santa and started telling him what he wanted for Christmas. Then Carson told Santa what he wanted...which I was proud of too because he is usually shy with Santa and we have to cue him to tell Santa what he wants. The only problem this year was that Callahan did not understand why he didn't get his present right then and there from Santa!

Mimi's visit

Mimi came for a 5 day visit last weekend and we LOVED every minute of it! I forgot to take my camera out for most of the visit, but managed to take a few snaps of our time together. We had a great time and were able to get a lot of Christmas shopping done and Wade and I were even able to have a date night! While we were out, the boys and mimi decorated gingerbread houses. Carson said they were "way better than last year!". I knew they would be - any artsy craftsy thing is right up Mimi's alley!

On Tuesday, Mimi and I went to Carson's school and helped his class make gingerbread houses. His teacher is so sweet and bought all the stuff for the children to do this project during school! They all loved it and I especially loved having Mimi's help! Thanks again mom! Carson had an even more special day having you there!

A little phrase Cal has picked up!

Here is what Wade and I overheard as Cal and Carson were playing this evening:

Carson: Cal, push me! (He was inside a storage tub/bin)
Callahan: No Carson. There's baby in my tummy!

I guess I use that excuse a lot to get out of tackling, wrestling, playing football, etc. around here!

A Typical Sunday Night at Our House

Carson and Callahan LOVE the Sunday and Monday night football games. They REALLY love the songs at the beginning (the Faith Hill one on Sunday night and the Hank Williams Jr. on Monday night). They dress out usually each week and play football during the game. Callahan will ask on a daily basis if "Monday night football coming?"

Callahan watched Carson and tried to pose just like him!

Callahan usually is on defense - he is a pretty good little tackler we think. Even Carson will tell him "good job" and when he does, we'll hear Cal say "Thanks!"

Are you ready for some football?

The belated Turkey Day Post

This year, Wade was able to take Friday off after Thanksgiving (which he hasn't done in nearly 5 years by the way!) and we went to West Memphis to have Thanksgiving with his family. It was really fun and we got to enjoy some great food and relaxation! We were very thankful for that. Here is a picture of us with Pappy and Nana. I only took a few pictures during our trip - just didn't really think about getting out the camera!

We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Wade's aunt and uncle's house. Here is some of the family chowing down....it was goooooood food!

Here are the boys the other night, making their Christmas lists!
