lately...

Wade took this picture of Carson and Cal one Sunday before church..too bad I didn't have Crosby ready in time.

Callahan took swim lessons for the first time this year with Ms. Kim and Ms. Landry.  Even though he swims all over the pool, we wanted him to learn more breast stroke type swimming rather than doggie paddling so much.  He did great!  One day, he had a conversation with Ms. Kim that went like this:

Ms. Kim:  Callahan, what's your middle name?
Cal:  Thomas
Ms. Kim: Callahan Thomas, does your mom ever say that when you get in trouble?
Cal: Yeah, but a little meaner

That stinker....he was telling the truth though!

Callahan took swim lessons with cousin Ellie this year.  Jaren and the girls came and stayed a week with us.  We had lots of fun and swam every day.  It too, went by fast, and we had a good visit with them , as always!

Last weekend, we got together with some of our best friends from when we lived in Dallas, the Poe's and Donoho's.  We haven't gotten together in two years because of all three of us having babies!  It was a fast and fun weekend and we had 8 kids ages 8 and under here!  Not a dull moment, but the kids got along really really well and seemed to enjoy each other!  There were many memories made, that's for sure!

June Moments

Carson and I walked in his room one day and found Crosby going through Carson's shorts drawer with a pair of shorts around his neck!  Crosby can clean out a drawer super fast!
Callahan had his best friend, Andrew, over for a play date.  These two have been together since they were almost one.  They both went to Ms. Barbara's as babies, and then moved onto Ms. Linda's at 2.  This school year, Andrew is moving to Rogers (about 20 minutes north) and will be going to St. Vincent's.  We are so sad, but trying not to dwell on it!  The mommy's have committed to getting these two guys together often.

Razorback Basketball Camp

The week before the fourth, Carson went to Mike Anderson Razorback Basketball Camp for four days.  This was the first year he had ever gone and he loved it!  He asked me if he could go back next year already.  It is really fun because the camp is held in the Bud Walton arena where the Hogs play so the camp is on the floor and the kids get to take a tour of the locker rooms, facilities, etc while they are there too.  One day when camp was over, I took pics of the kids around the arena.  Carson also received a new Nike Razorback basketball, a razorback t-shirt, a picture with the head coach, and a certificate.  He got his ball and shirt autographed by coach too on the last day.
 Lots and lots of boys!

 Crosby calling those HOGS!

This picture is entering the hallway to the coaches offices.  They loved that the floor was like a basketball gym.
They have these pictures in the hallway coming out of the arena.  They look real!

The Fourth

We had a fun and very busy fourth of July weekend!  My sister came into town which was nice because we hadn't seen each other in a few years!  My parents were also here after they closed on a second home right down the street from us!  My brother and sister-in-law and fam didn't get to come this year as my nephew was sick :(!  Hopefully next year!  Then on Monday, Greg and Jaren and the girls came.  On Saturday night, my parents kept Crosby and Wade and I took the older two boys and Shelley to see the fireworks in Fayetteville.  It was a beautiful night, weather was perfect, and we had a good time.  Callahan has come so far in watching fireworks this year.  Although he sat through it with his ears covered, he at least watched without crying and was outside!!! Last year, we couldn't even get him to look out the window at the ones in the neighborhood.  Huge strides this year! Like my green swim hair??  Straight out of the pool to dinner and then fireworks!

Cal, Carson and Ellie on the trampoline
Olivia was so sweet....she walked over and reached for my dad to hold her.  Closest he'll get to having a grandaughter!  : )
Monday night, we shot fireworks off in the street of our neighborhood.  This was the first year that Carson shot off a firework by himself!  Crazy!

Cal was so tired, but hey....can't complain....he was outside!!  Woo hoo!  Not taking his hands off his ears though.  He gets that from me!

 Still outside!

Crosby was so worn out the next day that he fell asleep at the table before I could feed him his lunch!
