Sledding

Nana also gave us some sleds to play with and they had a lot of fun. Jon took Reagan out and pulled her behind the sled. Then when Sage got up they hooked 2 sleds to the back of the 4 wheeler and he pulled both of them..what with hills being in such short supply. Reagan came in after the first round and asked if we had something that could be used as padding for her butt. We picked up a throw pillow and put it inside her snow pants. She looked really skinny with a big booty. Sage was like I'll be fine but sent Jon in to look for something she could sit on as well. I sent her out with a blanket because her pants weren't big enough to fit a pillow inside.

Not Happy

He wanted to scream and I needed to do laundry. He thought that the swing was fine for awhile but then he decided that was ready to move on.

Babysitting

Sage volunteered to babysit Ridge while I went to the grocery store but she also volunteered Aaron to help her. She called me before I had gone 20 miles and asked where his binkie was because he was not happy. She was very surprised when he laid down with Aaron and went right to sleep. When Jon stopped at the house for a part he ended up sticking around until I got back. She tried really hard and there I'm sure that she'll get to try again.

Found....One Thumb

Ridge found his thumb. He's never been particularly interested in it until now but now it's very important. I keep taking it back out and putting in his binkie but to no avail. I guess that's something I'll have to worry about later.

Growing Up

Ridge is holding his first toy. He's smiling and holding his rattle. He's held his binkie before but he'd never held anything else. I can't believe that I was actually around to see it and get a picture.

Boys and their Toys

Jon leased a big tractor to do some of the heavy work plowing down rows and then relisting them. He had GPS installed to make VERY straight rows. I went and rode with him on the tractor yesterday and got to see it for myself. It was really cool but very complicated looking...to me anyway. Jon had it all figured out and likes his new toy. Too bad we have to give it back but we don't need it all the time.

Church

We thought that we needed pictures of what some of us looked like before we went to church last week. Ridge has been so good at Sunday school and big church so far. He usually just sits there and looks around until he falls asleep. Unless his Daddy starts making faces at him and then he starts talking. We think that Dad just wanted to take him to walk around.

Just Hanging Out

He's got something to say he just can't quite get it out. He's growing so fast and changing quickly. He's been such a good baby, sleeping through most nights and mostly just checking things out. He does scream but not much. I can't believe that he's 15 lbs and 15 ozs. He's about to grow out of his car seat. I need to get some pictures of the rest of the family so that's on my to do list. I even told Jon that we needed to take some pictures of me with Ridge because we don't have very many. I always have the camera.

Communicating

The kids have gotten a kick out of talking to Ridge. He sometimes tries to talk back, sometimes just stares and sometimes he screams. We all find it pretty fascinating.

Happy Birthday Aaron

Happy Birthday Aaron. Aaron turned 19 on the 29th. We had a little party at the house with cake and ribbons. He seemed pretty happy and we got cake. Sage and Reagan made a banner for him to see when he walked in the door and we got a cake with his name on it. They had to lock the door because we didn't know when he would be here. When he got here they weren't through so he had to wait out side for a few minutes. I think that it was worth the wait.

Blankie

It's not really a blankie it's a burp rag but it's really soft. It's made out of microfiber and he really likes it. He looks like he would get really upset if you took it away. He's so serious looking but he looks serious most of the time. Occasionally he spontaneously smiles but usually we have to try to get a smile from him. Sage was tickling his feet the other day and he just giggled and giggled. It was the cutest things.
