21 weeks

I'm halfway done now at 21 weeks. Not much has changed thank heavens. She's still doing great and is healthy and growing just perfectly. Ricky always gets so nervous when we're waiting for the results of the ultrasound. He turns as white as a ghost and I swear he even holds his breath. He always lets out a huge sigh of relief when the doctor says everything's looking good. He's going to be such a good dad. I thought I was going to be the worry-wart, but I think Ricky just may have me beat. =0 ) But she's growing great and developing well and her heart is strong and she's just moving away. I still haven't felt a huge kick yet, just the little flutters still. But they're getting stronger and stronger and more frequent. I'm not sure if babies have a 'schedule' yet this early, but she picks early morning and late night to start moving around. She's pretty quiet during the day. She still wouldn't look at the camera for this last ultrasound. She's just a camera shy little girl. She keeps facing my back and won't turn around....and when she does face the front, she's covering her face with her hands or moving too fast for them to catch a glimpse, so I'm still not really sure who she resembles (not that you can tell much from an ultrasound anyways). But she's doing well and that's all the matters. =0 )

Ricky's Birthday

Today is Ricky's 30th birthday. We didn't really do much...we're pretty chill these days. But we cooked a delicious steak dinner with some asparagus and salad. He had a good day at work and is excited to relax before school starts tomorrow. He's been lucky and hasn't had to go to class on Monday or Tuesday. I think for the first time today i got to feel our precious baby have her first little kick. I'm not 100% for sure it was a kick, but it was a feeling I've never felt before and a kick is what it felt like, so I'm going to run with that. The special part is it happened for the first time on Ricky's birthday. I'm excited to see what other 'firsts' Brynn and her daddy will have. I feel like they've already bonded =0 ) We had Ricky's birthday dinner and now we're about to watch a movie after I finish this blog. I keep getting in trouble because I don't update it as much as I should. =0 ) So to appease my wonderful birthday husband, I'll be trying a little harder. =0 )

Here's a picture of when I was 16 weeks.

And here's a picture of me at 19 weeks....about halfway done.

So that's the update for now. Things are great and we're so excited to see this precious little girl.

13 Weeks

So I'm 13 weeks and I'm just barely starting to show. It could even just be a 'chubby' day that I'm mistaking for 'showing', but either way, there's a tiny bump there. I'm feeling great and Ricky's way excited. He's been great asking every day how I'm feeling, how things are going, what can he do to make me more comfortable, and just being a great husband/future daddy. We still haven't heard the heartbeat, but I know it's there becase we've seen it pumping nice and strong all 3 times. But the little guy/girl is still too small for us to hear it. When we had this ultrasound done, I was a little nervous so the tech said that because I was nervous, the baby gets nervous too and was jumping around and was all hyper. She had a hard time getting a clear picture cuz the baby was moving around so much. She finally got a good shot and put the picture up on the tv for us to see. The baby was doing some dancing/jumping/cha cha dance and was moving all over the place....then he/she just stopped for a second, arched his/her back and took a big long stretch, and then calmed down and was still for the rest of the time. We already have a spunky one on our hands. =0 ) But everything's great and the baby so far is doing great and seems to be healthy and have everything in place. We'll hopefully get to find out what we're having in about 2 weeks.

I can't figure out how to turn the pictures upright, so for now, sorry for the crooked pictures. I'll have to work on my computer skills and try to turn them for the next post.
