Silly Kids

At church the other day, Riley's teacher told me how she was teaching them about seeds and how they make things grow. She explained to the little Sunbeams that you can plant a seed and it will grow into something great, like a plant, a tree, a flower...and so on. Then she asks the kids, "So how does an Apple Tree start out?" and Riley yells out "it starts with A!!!" Uh, yeah, I guess you're right. Not the answer she was looking for though. Hehe.

See this shirt that Riley's wearing? Well this morning when I put him in it he kept pulling at the sleeves and said, "Oh Mommy, this shirt's too small for me." No it's not, I bought it like a week ago and he had never even worn it yet. It was because it was short sleeved. HA! He hasn't worn a short sleeved shirt in a while since it's been so chilly, so he must have thought that the sleeves had shrunk or something. THEN I get Reagan dressed, in a short sleeved shirt as well and funniest thing, she did the same thing! She looks at me and says, "Uh oh!" and starts pulling at the sleeves to cover her arms. She had the funniest expression on her face too like, "Uh, mom? This shirt's broken." What silly kids, and funny that they had the exact same reaction to something as simple as a short sleeved shirt.

Family Bike Ride

Yes I went along. I don't want to hear any crap for it either, ya hear? Haha. I know they say not to ride a bike while you're pregnant, but I'm really not sure this counts as really "riding" a bike. I was riding next to Riley. That should explain enough. He's 3, his legs will only let him go so fast. Don't get me wrong, he can go pretty fast, his little legs just a spinnin' but if I have my bike on a higher gear I can pedal once around and stay with him, if not pass him up. The most dangerous part about the whole thing is that I was going TOO slow, I felt like I couldn't keep my balance because I was going so slow! Ha! It was really fun though, Riley pedaling along side us, me on my bike and Randy on his pulling Reagan in the trailor. We were gonna let her ride her little tricycle but she gets tired of riding pretty quick so sometimes she'd just get off and start running instead! This way none of us had to drag her bike home while she ran around. The whole neighborhood was out riding bikes it seemed! It's been such a nice week, I love it!

Sad!

So I was downstairs doing hair and Reagan and Riley were outside with Randy "helping" with the sprinklers when Reagan comes in the house and down the stairs BAWLING. She just kept mumbling the same thing, which I couldn't understand any of except for the word Riley...of course. She had a little scratch on her eyelid and it was already getting puffy so I went upstairs with her, put some ice on it and went out to asked Riley what happened. He said to me, "Mommy, I told her to be careful around the shovel." What!? He had been using a big shovel to fill his dumptruck up with dirt and probably turned and smacked her in the face with it accidentally. Ahh! She woke up from her nap a few hours after the incident with a fat black eye! Well, it looked more like a puffy eye with purple eyeshadow, sad though, huh!? As you can see from these pictures, she was not in the mood to giving me a decent picture, so this is the best I could do; an ornery scowl and then her looking away with her eye half closed, making the black eye look ten times worse than it really does. Nice.

What a NICE Day!!!

I just have to say that I LOVE my neighborhood. It was the nicest day today and the whole neighborhood was out taking walks and riding bikes. Riley and Reagan took a few laps around the block themselves and it was so nice to take a walk with them. Riley is so good at riding on his bike, he is SO fast too! Reagan was cracking me up because I told Riley to only go to the corner and back and he kept turning the corner and going further so Reagan would run after him yelling to turn around and stop!!! It was so funny how mad she was getting. What a silly girl. We had a fun time outside, we were out there from 3 to 7! I can't wait until it's warm like this every day!

Sprinklers!!!

On Thursday Randy paid some guy to come over and trench the yard, then on Friday Ken and Arik came over to help Randy start installing the sprinklers. THANK YOU GUYS!!! Riley was out there almost the whole time the guys were out working, he loved working side by side Arik, shoveling away. Then on Saturday Randy and Riley started working again at 9:00 that morning and didn't come in until like 5:00...except to eat a few times. Riley would shovel up some dirt, fill his toy dumptruck with it and then dump it on a pile of dirt he was making, he'd do that over and over. He also carried all of the pipes from the front yard to the back yard for Randy, what a tough guy! They make such a good team, and a cute one too. Randy realized he needed to trench next the house also and hadn't asked the guy on Thursday to do that, so he had to go rent a trencher for a couple of hours, which he wasn't too thrilled about. When he came back with it he started using it and it looked like such tough work, that trencher sucked! He finaly got it done but it was probably almost as bad as if he would've had to dig it by hand! Oh well, that part is now done. All the pipe is in and ready to go, he just needs to install the sprinkler heads then we'll be close to laying sod! YEAH!!!

Is This Really Happening?

These pictures really give no justice to how much work was done yesterday when Jason, Randy's friend, came over with his Bobcat to knock down our whole yard. I am SO excited that we're actually gonna get it all done this year!!! We had two mounds of dirt in the front and one big one in the back and Jason leveled it all and filled Randy's dumptruck with the rest. We now have our landscape cut into the front yard...even though you can't tell. You will! And a guy is coming this Thursday to trench our whole yard so it's ready for Randy to install sprinklers on Saturday. Woohoo! My kids are going to have a backyard to play in this year...with a fence and GRASS and everything! I can't wait! Oh and RIley was so cute, he couldn't get enough of that Bobcat, he thought it was the coolest machine ever. He'd come in for maybe 5 minutes because it was COLD and snowy, then he'd put on his shoes, sweatchirt and coat all over again and go back out to be with his Daddy and watch "the little tractor." What a boy.

Awww, cute!

This was so funny, I was just sitting at the computer blogging and Reagan was sitting right next to me talking and playing. Well, my camera was right there and for some random reason I picked it up and took a picture of us and said, "Reagan, look!" to show her the picture and as I looked at the picture myself, I realize she was completely asleep! Haha! I took a few more picture of course and then had to show Randy. She is SO adorable and plays so hard, so when she's tired she's out FAST!

Just an Update.

I went to the doctor a week ago and forgot to let you know! There's only one baby in there. Randy was SO relieved. Ha! Everything was good and my baby was tiny, adorable and healthy. I got to see it in an ultrasound! I can't wait to be able to stop calling it "IT!" We for sure will be going to Fetal Fotos in 5 weeks to find out the gender, just like our last 2! My doctor says we're cheating since we don't wait until our 20 week appointment, ha! Oh well, consider us cheaters! I'll let you know!

What a Cool Kitchen!

We had no idea what we bought until we took it out of the box! When we started putting the kitchen together I noticed it needed batteries, so I put some in and by the time we got the whole thing together some lady's telling us to find the strawberry and put it on the cutting board, put the butter and eggs in the pan on the stove and then saying, "Good job!" if you got it right. Wow!

They play so cute together with this kitchen, I'm surprised!

I found Randy checking it out last night once we put the kids to bed. Ha! He's very impressed by this kitchen.

Reagan's Tinkerbell Party!

Yesterday we had a party for Reagan with a bunch of her cousins. It was a way fun time! We played games and swung at a Pinata the3n ate some cake and ice cream. She got lots of fun presents! She's got new toys last her til Christmas! Hehe. I still can't believe that she's 2!!!

T-Ball Practice!

Riley starts T-Ball in a month so we bought a bunch of stuff to help him practice and he is GOOD! The only thing he really needs to work on is to catch the ball with the glove on, that is TOUGH!

Look! It's Ruth from the Bible.

Gotcha! It's really just me. Ha! For the Young Women Activity in our ward last week, the YW Presidency asked 7 women to talk like a specific women in the Bible and explain them with a YW value, so I was Ruth standing for Integrity. It was fun telling her story in first person. I love the famous scripture in Ruth 1:16 where she shows her devotion to Naomi by saying, "Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." Ruth gave up her native land, her family and her gods for a strange land where she'd know no one, and to change her beliefs to one God, being the God of Israel. What an amazing lady. Oh and by the way, I made this outstanding costume ALL by myself. I know you're jealous. I'm taking orders if you want one. HA!

We LOVE Car Washes!

Well, atleast me and Riley do. Ha! Reagan hates how loud they get, it scares her a bit. After we're almost done and while she notices how happy Riley is during them, she kind of warms up to them and is ok with the idea...then it's over and we start from the beginning the very next time we go to wash the car again! Haha.
