We had a great summer! I asked the the family to list their favorite things we did this summer. And the finalist are...in no particular order
- Vacations--We were able to take 3 great vacations this summer, Charleston, SC, Las Vegas, and our annual trip back to Utah to see family
- Hanging out at the pool--what would we do with out it! We would spend every available afternoon and evenings at our pool--I even got a real tan this summer!!
- Celebrating Allie's 10th birthday. I can hardly believe she is 10!! We were able to celebrate as a family on her birthday and have a party at the pool with her friends after we returned from Utah. Lucky girl, gets to celebrate all summer

- Celebrating Grandpa's 70th Birthday. What a great Guy!! We are so blessed to have an amazing Dad/Grandpa.

- Hiking Timp with Dad. The kids and Dave hiked Mt. Timpanogas while I helped Grandma get ready for Grandpa' s party (see #4). They had a great time. We were so proud of Sadie for hiking most of the way without any help (she is more of an indoor girls--we have no idea who she gets that from).

- Staying up late and sleeping in--is there anything better? We love when we are not getting kids up at the crack of dawn and putting them to bed before the sun goes down just to get them to the bus by 7:00am
- Redecorating bedrooms. This summer we got a crazy idea to redo all the upstairs bedrooms. So we had a big furniture switch, Jenson got our bed, Allie got Jenson's bed and new furniture, Sadie got Allie's furniture, McKay got new bed and some new furniture. AND after 15 years of marriage, Dave and I finally get a "real" bedroom set and we love it (even though you have to get a running start just to get up on the bed).
- Spending time with family in Utah. This is always one the of the highlights of our summer. It is so nice to reconnect with family.

9. Picking apricots at Great Grandpa's. When I was a kid, this would never had made my list!! However, the kids had a great time picking the apricots and loved spending time with their Great Grandpa. They said he treated them to marshmallow cookies and the best root beer ever!! How lucky to have Great Grandpa and be able to make some memories with him.
10. Celebrating our 15th Anniversary. Dave and I quietly celebrated out 15th anniversary this past July. What a blessing to be married to such a great guy. I can't believe it has been 15 years. I hope the next 15 and beyond are just as exciting and wonderful as the past 15.
