Boardin'

This was a serious conversation I overheard in the car today between two five year olds.

Friend: "Yea I like to ski, but its really hard and I have to go slow."
Taylor: "Well I know how to snowboard and it is awesome. You just point your board where you want to go and you go really fast, snowboarding is the best."
Friend: "Well, my brother and my sister know how to go sandboarding. You take your board in some sand and ride down the hill."
Taylor: "Well I really like Stairboarding"
Friend: "stairboarding whats that?"
Taylor: "Oh... you just take your board to the top of the stairs and go for a ride.
Friend: "Oh yea, I've done that."

I could not stop laughing, little kids are the best!

Guilty Pleasure

It might sound weird, but I love to watch tennis on TV (or in person). I am excited for the Australian Open to start tomorrow! Why did I cancel my cable just days before the first tennis slam of the year!!??? Well, I guess that will free up my next two weeks. I hope these two meet up in the finals...if that happens I will be cheering for Rafel.

Good Bye Cable

Well, here is one New Year's resolution I have kept...we canceled cable. I think this will be more painful for me than for anyone else (College football just ended). We will see how long we can go without it, hopefully for all of 2009!

Snowboarding!

Taylor & Sheldon

Cache & Taylor

Sheldon

We took the kids snowboarding a couple of weekends ago. The kids absolutely loved it... who knew? I figured Sheldon would have fun... but Taylor was a big question mark. We had so much fun watching our little five year old just take off down the mountain and tear it up! Thanks to Becky, Mike, Max, Emma, Kathy AND especially Matt for helping our kids.... so I could hang out in the lodge with Kyle. Hopefully next winter I will be out there.

New Years

Baby Kyle & Baby Milo
Thanks for visiting us in the Northwest Matt!

My Parents came too... that makes four times in six months!

Cache is ready to hit the mountain.
