Ghosts of Halloween Past

Othello 1st Ward Trunk-or-Treating party.
Probably around 1996-1997.
I'm the cheerleader in the corner with the chicken legs.
Julee, my best childhood friend, is standing beside me.

Halloween 2007

Good friends! We had such fun parties together!

Hallowen 2009
Having Hinder has made holidays much more special.

Our first Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns in 2006.

Another Birthday!

My gorgeous sister Davi turns 17 today!

Seems like just the other day I was babysitting the little rascal.
She was the cutest thing! Only blond girl of the whole bunch.
I've been very jealous of that my entire life.
Davi and I have this special little bond because we had to share a room growing up.
As kids, we called ourselves "pillow pals".

I love that Davi is full of life and adventure. She's always the first to volunteer. She's super athletic so she makes everything look easy.

She's hilarious and has a winning sense of humor.

And she's beautiful. Long-legged, slim, blond, blue-eyed.
(can you sense a tinge of envy?)
Some people just have it all.

I'm just happy to have her for a sister.
So happy, happy birthday, Davi!
We Love You!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Holiday Time!
I thrive from October to January 2nd.
Last Monday, we had our annual carve pumpkin/ decorate cookies family home evening.
It was smashing!
(Apologies for the terrible photo quality. Our camera is officially on the fritz)

This cheese ball was in heaven making all kinds of messes.

The finished product. Rileys, mine, and Dev's.
Hinder describes them as the funny one, the scary on, and the happy one.

Halloween Countdown= 11 days!

Autumn

I love the fall.
I know a lot of people do. What's not to love?
The colors, sound of crunching leaves, smells, spices...
Cooler nights, warm afternoons, football games, and holidays.
Autumn encompasses everything lovely about life.
But this is what I loved the absolute MOST...

Every fall, when the school buses start passing my house again, I really start to miss this.

Look Who's Turning Seven!

Miss Dakota. I remember when you were born. I cannot believe it's been seven years.
You were the cutest little nugget. Chubby cheeks and super smart. You could read "Mr. Brown Can Moo" at just 18 months.

For a while, you were my little buddy. I loved toting you around to run errands.

So full of spunk and life!

You're such a good little auntie to your neice and nephews. I'm so grateful Hinder has you to play with and look up to.

You're a beauty!
Happy birthday, littlest sister! Hope your day is magical!

Starting Today

One of my 101 goals is to memorize the Proclamation to the Family issued by the First Presidency.

Wanna read it? Go here.
I'm starting today. Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday, Devon!

My little (little meaning younger...at a majestic 6' she towers over me) sis, Devon, is turing 19 on Sunday.

She deserves the most stellar birthday. We're planning lots of fun things to celebrate her life. Craigos, Inception, Mario Kart tourney, and of course...icecream cake! I love birthdays!!

Reasons Why Devon is the Coolest Girl You'll Ever Meet:

Forever mellow. Has seen every movie. Great taste. Mature. Virtuous. Perfect skin. Makes the most hilarious movies. Totally content. Basketball genius. Will help you with anything you need. Great listener. Amazing writer.

Happy Birthday, Dev-Bot!
