Hanging around the house with Miah

I was trying to get a good video of Miah tonight walking around. She is so funny right now when she walks and she is now walking on her own free will. I've been wanting to catch her when she wasn't expecting it and she was really busy, getting into every thing.

I can't help but focus a little too much on Miah. I am always following Miah around with the camera and not so much the other kids. I think I will try to video Cameron and Lilly more. I just don't want to miss the percious moments of Miah's first year. I know that I didn't get much of Lilly when she was young so I think I am trying to make up for it with Miah.

Cameron loves the camera. Whenever I turn the camera on he is trying to get in front of it and dance around or make a funny face. He is so hilarious. I kept trying to get him out of the way in this video. He just always wants to be apart of it. He is so much fun, most of the time.

Cents of Style

This is a picture after my cents of style party. We had everyone together so thought it would be great to get a group picture. I like this picture a little better than moms picture. Before the party I was running around my house frantically to get it all cleaned. I did not have time to dress up much and my hair was a mess, but I decided I wanted a clean house instead of looking perfect.( perfect is a tall word though because I know that I wouldn't be happy with myself until I loose quite a bit more weight.)

It was a fun party, mostly because this time I was able to buy something at it. I am supper excited about all the stuff I got too. The shoes are just so cute. The hot pink purse is a little much but Lilly absolutely loves it. She was telling me that she was excited for when she grows up and will be able to wear my shoes. She is sooo girly.

So 11 people should up to the party and purchased $200 worth of merchandise. So Katie and I each got $10 off the stuff we bought. It was great. I had hoped a couple other people were there but oh well. It was a good night. I didn't know the lady who does the business but it worked out alright for her too.

Daddy the umpire

So my husband is crazy. He filled his week end so full he almost fell asleep standing up umpiring a baseball game.

He had two deliviries to do on Thursday that he finished in time to race home and get to his security job which he worked from 6pm to 2am. Then Friday morning he had to get up at 7am and umpire 5 games. After his last game he had to race home again and do his 6pm to 2am security job and get home to rest. He had a very hard time waking up at 7 am to get to umpiring the next 5 games for Saturday. Wow he is resilient. He will probably be working until 9 0'clock tonight. It is crazy to me because I know that I would not be able to handle all that with so little sleep.

We took lunch to him yesturday while he had a 20 min break. The kids had a good time seeing him and we just sat in the grass until his next game started. After that we played at the park. It was a long day but a good day I think. At least with him gone so much the kids were able to see him for a little bit.

A Day at Eagle Island

On Thursday we went to Eagle Island for fun in the sun and lots of swimming for the kids. We went with Katie's family and Jan's family.(Katie and I work out in the moening with Jan. She is also in Katie's ward.)

Cameron and Lilly were already sun burnt really bad from playing at grandma gray's house in their little swimming pool. I did not put sun screen on them that day. I realized that night that that was a stupid mistake. Cameron was sooo red and I felt really bad.

I did not want to make that mistake again so I put sun screen on them twice while we were at Eagle Island. It was pretty nice that day because there was not many people out and we had our own little area for cooking our hot dogs and having lunch. It was the perfect day because it was not scortching but just warm enough to enjoy the water.

Cameron and Lilly were afraid to get to far into the water. I had warned them not to go too far and I guess it freaked them out. Lilly mostly played in the sand. Lilly had found an inflatable tube that some one had left there. Once Lilly had put it down Cameron raced over and took it and would not put it down.

Miah really enjoyed the water. She played in the sand and crawled in the water for a long time. I just sat close to her and let her play and explore. She was covered in the sand when we were done so I had to rinse her off in the bathroom sink. I felt really bad doing it because the water was cold and she was screaming bloody murder.

When it was time to go I was relieved. We were there for 4 hours and that was long enough for me. The kids enjoyed it and so did I. I hope that before the summer is over we will do that again.

My favorite pictures continued

Laughing Videos

Cameron laughing at daddy. He was always able to get cameron laughing.

Tickle time has always been a enjoyable for the kids.

I was trying to get lilly to laugh. A lot of the time I was unsuccessful. This time I only got one little sound out of her but it is worth capturing her for a brief time. I know I sound dorky too.

Miah was laughing for a little while before I got a video of it. She was getting a little tired. I love hearing them laugh.

Rexburg Trip

On Sunday Katie, Kyle, Joseph, me and Lilly drove to Rexburg. We drove my minivan and still gas was horribly expensive and it seem liked the gas was just not getting us very far. That was frustrating.

We went to Rexburg to drop off Kyle to EFY. Katie had found out that when they registered Kyle, it for some reason didn't go through. They were very worried that he would not get in to the program but decided that maybe by begging they would find a way to accept him.

We stayed the night at the Womacks house(Katie's in-laws from her previous marriage) because that was where Joseph was going to stay for the week. It was nice there and luckily her mother-in-law knew a lady that worked at BYU Idaho and told us the perfect time to go and beg.

We had lunch toether at a local resturant that Katie used to go to a lot when she went to school there. I would say that the ice cream was better than the sandwich we had. It was also pretty expensive for everything but we had a good time. After lunch we took Kyle to the school and didn't heven have to do any begging for him to get in to EFY. Within 45 min we were off to drop Kyle off at the room he would be staying for the week. It worked out great.

After dropping off Kyle we went to the DI there. The last time Katie had been there she said it was the best because all the college students had just finished the semester and got rid of a lot of very nice clothing. We tryed on a lot of clothes. Lilly even found something for herself. She just had to get a new dress. So we took a tryed on some clothes and took a picture together. We were not able to get much clothing but it was fun trying them on any way.

Katie had purchase a hotel room for Monday night and it was a little scary. We went soaking in the gross hot tub that wasn't even hot. We hung out for a little while in there because Lilly just had to play in the water. The hot tube was in this enclosed area where their work out room was located. We were out telling stories and talking when it began to get dark and all of a sudden Katie had a feeling that we should get out of the hot tube and back to our room. We were just two ladies and a little girl and this hotel was extremely creepy. We practically ran back to our room. It was scary thinking of some crazy person thinking up bad things and us being vulnerable to about anything out there.

When we got back to the room I had to go to the lobby to get some extra towels because we had used them all for swimming. I ran as fast as I could down the hallway and to the lobby. I was really freaked out. After getting into our pj's we said a prayer together and for the rest of the night we were able to relax a little. We painted our nails and applied some moisterizing masks. Lilly had to be envolved in it too so we put the mask stuff on her.

I think Lilly felt pretty special having all this attention and not having to share it with any other kids. When it was time to go home she didn't want to leave.

This is the hotel room we stayed in. It wasn't horrible in here but the outside was definitely not kept up very well.

This is the out side where the pool was. A cat roamed around the grounds too.

Well it was not the nicest place but when it comes down to things it was a cheap room that we were able to hang out and do some fun girl things and get a good nights sleep. At least this place had a continental breakfast. We grabbed as much stuff as we could to last us the drive home. It was totally worth it to have an enjoyable trip with my daughter and my good friend and sister, Katie.

Jeff's Graduation

Oh how great it is to finally graduate. A great acomplishment to start of a new part of life. High school graduation, it is funny how it really doesn't mean much for the rest of your life aside from people being able to see that you did it.

Jeff is Doug's little brother, I know its hard to tell. They practially look the same. Jeff is the second to last child. That means only one more left in high school. Its crazy that the family is growing up so fast.

Jeff seemed pretty excited and happy to be done with it all. Now off to getting ready for a mission. Thomas his older brother is on a mission right now in Australia and Jeff will probably have to leave for his mission before Thomas gets off of his.

Marriage material

We got into the conversation of marriage the other night and the kids were explanig things about what they think the person theat they will marry will be like. I was a little surprised by what they were saying so I decided I would pull out the camera and video tape some of the answers they were giving me.
