Miah turns two

Miah turned two on Sunday. I cannot believe that my youngest is now two. Crazy!

My three cuties.

We had family over for cake and ice cream. They didn't stay long but it was great having them there to celebrate with Miah. Miah got two cute dresses and we got her a cinderella carage big enough to sit a couple barbies in.

The cake took me several hours with lots of different colors but I was happy with how it turned out. I got the cake pan off craigslist for $3. I like buying things second hand now.

Happy Birthday Miah!

Fitness Retreat

I had an awsome weekend with Katie this last week. She got a discount on this fitness retreat that we heard of of an e-mail we got. It was so nice even though it was a little crazy working the kids around for that time that we were gone.

So we got there on thursday around 5:30. We took our stuff in and the got everyone going on a workout right away. They did a boot camp station run on us and what made it fun was challenging Katie to see how could get through it the fastest. It was pretty tough but I managed to catchup with Katie a little. During the exercising one of the lady's dislocated her shoulder. She had to sit there for a while with it out until her friend took her to the hospital. They ended up not coming back, so that was too bad.

After the workout we had a nice low fat dinner and stayed up talking for a while. Most of us decided to get into the hot tub before bed. The hot tub was only for four people and six of us were trying to squeeze in there. It was tight, but a fun night.

We woke up at 7:00 am for breakfast and got to another workout by 8:00. They showed us a nice in home routine that definetly works you good.

At 10:00am we started our 10 mile hike up a logging road. We did not bring enough water for the length of our trip and by the end I legs(especially my calves) were killing me. We had a nice nap after the long day and ened everything with a great dinner and a nutrition class.

The next morning, up by 7:00 we had a small breakfast and another workout. Right after the workout was a competion. There was several different parts to it. The first one was a push up contest, I did not win but I was happy that I got 25 with really good form. The second was an endurance run. We ran about 200 meters up and down as fast as possible. One of the other girls won that also, I am just not a fast runner. I can run endurance, but not fast. The third was standing on one foot on a log as long as possible. It was taking too long for everyone standing there so at 6 min. we had to close our eyes. I last 10 sec. at that point. I think I won too. The last won was a polar bear competition. We had to sit in the freezing cold river up to our belly buttons. We had to only stay for five minutes and then dunk under for as long as possible. I did not win that won either. I do not like cold water. At the end there was a tie, so we had a quiz on what they were teaching us through the weekend. I did not win this either but I did come in third place. There were three prizes so I made it in with just enough. I got a $25 gift certificate for personal training.

Oh, the company that put this on was Star Fitness. It is two really great ladies that live in star, they do in-home personal training. I don't know there prices but they seemed really wonderful.

More from Klamath Falls

These are all pictures from our tour of Crater Lake. It was very pretty. That water is so beautiful.

The kids had so much fun with all their cousins.

There was a nice look out point that was a little closer to the water.

We couldn't help but get a family picture with such a beautiful back ground.

Oh my goodness. My son is so funny. Look at him with a huge cheeto in his mouth. He knows how to take a great picture hugh. Thanks to him I was a little embarrassed during this trip. Every one was really hunger by the time we got to the lookout that we all were eating a bag of cheetos. Some how Cameron ended up with the bag when it was gone, so while we were all standing and looking at the water, Cameron crunched up the bag and threw it over the cliff. Everyone was like"CAMERON, NO". The bag went out to far for us to grab and just far enough for everyone to see instead of looking at the wonderful senery. It was a bit embarrassing that my son had done that, but well, we had a great laugh over it later on.

This is everyone except a couple of us. Lots of kids, makes for lots of fun, Right?

Another birthday cake

This is another cake that I made for my niece Ella's 3rd birthday. The Bardie in it was a little small for the whole thing but the big ones were just too big. It turned out ok, though, of course I look at it and see all the improvements it needs. It is good enough for a three year old.

Kalamath Falls Oregon

We went on a wonderful trip in June from the 13 to the 20th. It was so great to get away from the house for a whole week and relax. It was a family reuion with my side of the family and just my immediate family.

The condo was at the Flying Y and it was wonderful. I was the best condo that we had ever been to that belonged to World Mark. My parents were getting rid of their time share so we all wanted one last horrah with it.

Our condo was right next to the tennins courts, play ground, and swimming area. I really wasn't in the mood for much swimming but the kids enjoyed it. It was the perfect spot. The kids got to play with all their cousins and we had many a problem with them running out the door and going down the street. The locks on the doors just did not stay locked.

Because the condos were right next to the golf course and it was on the side of a mountain it made you feel like getting up and doing something instead of laying around and being lazy. I went on several bike rides which were wonderful. We saw snakes and birds everywhere of a hundred different kinds, and deer that would come out and stare at everyone. IT was beautiful.

I also have been preparing for a half marathon and I wanted to stick with it so thanks to the willingness of family members to come with me I still got in the running. There was a 3.1 mile loop around the golf couse that we ran along.

Swimming is best when you have friends to go with. Lilly was doing pretty good learning how to swim. I was impressed.

We also to Crater Lake which I will show pictures of on another post because I saved those oics on my parents computer, and we went to the California Lava Beds. There was some great caves there that we walked around. Cameron was a little scared because it was dark and and he heard there might be bats and other scarey things inside.

I had to walk through the caves with Miah on my shoulders, and let me tell you, that was a good work out. We explored down these tunnels that we had to crawl to get through them. I had to go lowerer than everyone else and try not to catch Miah's head on the poky ceiling. It was fun and the perfect cool temp inside.

I love to go on trips and so do my kids. Lilly wants to go on a trip every weekend( so she tells in her nightly preyers). I am thankful we were able to go but I did miss my husband. He was not able to come with us because of work and we were sad to leave him, but I tell yo what it was just what I needed.

Cameron playing T-ball

Cameron has really been enjoying T-ball. It is so cute seeing him try and play the game when he really doesn't know what he is doing. He stands there all excited just wanting to do something.

A couple of times when Cameron has been in the outfield he had the ball hit towards him and he ran and picked it up. Everyone started yelling run run to the little boy and Cameron thought they were yelling at him so he has the ball and runs to second base, then on the way to third base he hears the coach telling him to stop and throw the ball to the first basemen. He just wants to be apart of it all.

I enjoy watching him and it is great becase they don't take score and there is no pressure. They are just learning the game.

Even though going to the games are great for Cameron and horrible for me, because it is really difficult with Lilly and Miah trying to watch, it is still good. I have a hard enough time making it to the field sometimes. I usually go and let miah and Lilly play at the play area there but they don't always want to stay. They want to explore. So I'm always chasing after them. It is all worth it because even if something is hard for me and good for the kids I'm willing to do it. It is all ab out the memories
