Pillow fight!

Another one of Scott's fantastic Family Home Evening ideas, a giant pillow fight!
 Everyone get mommy!
Yes, you can get hurt hitting each other with pillows.
This is Indie's favorite kind of game.

Happy Birthday Indie and Scott!

This year Indie's birthday fell on a Sunday, so we celebrated at home with a piñata.
Annie and Park each got a few swings.

And then we let Indie go to town on it! Even after all the candy was gone he had to keep hitting the head. He could have cared less about the candy.
Even Milo got in on the action some.
 Cars Legos! Lucky duck!
And cookie ice cream sandwiches instead of cake.
He loved blowing out the candles, but the cookies ended up in a puddle of cream since he was too busy playing with his new toy.

Then, on Monday, in between Birthday's we continued to celebrate  by going to "Jump On It" for FHE. And out to dinner after. What fun! Which means that Scott got a little gipped on his Birthday, but seeing as he could care less...:)
I could get it focused if only Milo would hold still...yeah right!

Look how old this girl is looking!

Smarty Pants!

The last few days Park has astounded us.

Example number 1: We started teaching Park and Annicka how to play scrabble. I was playing with them and a few rounds into it Park says, "I have 51 points so far!" I look down at the sheet and his scores so far are 20, 25, 6. This kid is in Kindergarten and he added that in his head!

Example number 2: Driving home from "Jump On It" on Monday night, (we went for Indie's birthday) Park says, "How many minutes are in an hour?" Scott replies, "sixty." A few seconds later Park says, "that means there are 180 minutes in three hours!"

Where did this kid come from?!?

MILO!

The last few days I've finally started working on getting each year of the blog put into a book to be ordered and I realized how important it's been to document things as they've happened. There is so much that I've already forgotten. So, this post has that in mind.
A lot of mornings Indie will go into Milo's room after he's woken up and will climb into his crib to play. The other night we had gone to our next door neighbors to watch a movie after we had put the kids down for the night. Apparently Indie wasn't down all the way, and when he couldn't find us he decided that Milo would have to do. I came down the hallway and Milo's door was wide open. I always close it after I put him down. So I knew Indie had to have opened it. Little did I know that he stayed there!
 Just being stinking cute!
Milo found a marker (washable thankfully) that one of the kids left out. He managed to get the lid off and pulled the whole ink tip out with his teeth and had a grand old time making a mess of it!
All I have to say is that Milo loves hats right now!

Christmas

Christmas day was really low key for us. And you know me, I love it low key! I don't think I spent more than $150 on all the kids presents combined. They didn't even know the difference. Grandma Chamberlain and cousin Kami stopped by for breakfast and watched the kids open presents. Milo was totally into ripping off wrapping paper and even Indie finally understood what was going on and was excited to find out what was inside each present. And then we hung out all day playing with the new toys and watching Christmas movies. It was blissful!

Earlier in the week we had both family parties with all of the cousins that are around and lame old me didn't take pictures. Mostly because it was CRAZY! I'm actually kind of surprised we got some pictures on Christmas day. I opened the camera fully expecting nothing from Christmas and these were here! As I looked at the pictures I noticed that there was only one with Park and it's a distant one at that. That's what happens when Scott is put in charge of taking pictures! :)
