Campout!

We went camping up Ophir Canyon in Tooele with some friends, the Michaelsons and the Dimonds. All told there were 6 adults and 16 kids, including three babies between 15 and 21 months. We had a blast! I got up there first to reserve some sites for us. To help keep the kids entertained while I waited for everyone else to get there, including Scott, we played in the creek near our campground. It was so hot! What a great way to cool off!
Milo was picking up the biggest rocks he could possibly handle to make some big splashes!

 WOW! BIG SPLASH!

 Well, hello there, Adam!

Scott found a dead tree and the men decided to be manly and push it over and then chop it up...well at least chop it in half.
And yes, Scott allowed Indie to wield an ax...I'm not sure what he was thinking...
And of course Milo helped himself to no less than 25 marshmallows while we were making s'mores.

Wow, awesome picture...at least I don't look mean, right? :)

Annicka's Antics

Have I ever told you that Annicka can be a little dramatic? Well, let me illustrate. The other night she went flying into her bedroom and she bashed her knee against a 5 gallon bucket full of wheat. What's a 5 gallon bucket of wheat doing in her room, you ask? She was building a fort and needed it for weight. Of course she screamed bloody murder and it was the end of the world. I got her some ice and put her to bed. The next day she came upstairs with her ankle tied to her thigh using a neckerchief and pushing around one of Milo's walker toys. ALL DAY she pushed it around and hobbled around like a cripple. Anytime she would straighten her leg she would cry about how much it hurt. By the end of the day she still wasn't even trying to walk and usually by this time she is back to normal. So I decided we better take her in to the instacare to make sure she hadn't broken her kneecap or something. Nope, just bruised. And as soon as the doctor put an ace bandage on it, miracle of miracles she could walk! I love my Annicka, but man, she can milk it!

Indie's Best Friend

This is Allen. Indie's best friend. And honestly, his first friend besides the Michaelson kids. He's nine and yet he loves to hang out with Indie. And we love him for it. He is such a sweet kid. He knocks on the door everyday and asks specifically if Indie can come out and ride bikes with him. They love being crazy together and riding around the neighborhood on their bikes and going off the jump. Initially Indie just called him "big kid," but I think we have finally gotten him to realize his name is Allen. Whenever Allen comes to the door and I ask Indie if he wants to go play he starts getting really excited and looking for his shoes and helmet so he can go out. What I love the most is that even though Indie's communication skills still aren't the best, that doesn't matter to Allen. He takes all of his quirks in stride and just thinks he's funny when he copies him. Thanks Allen, for being such a good friend to Indie. He needs it!

The Jump

Several of the kids around the neighborhood have been improvising jumps for their bikes. And of course Indie has been going on them all willy-nilly. So Scott took on the project of making a safer jump, or at least a more stable jump. The kids all love it, including all the neighborhood kids. Hopefully no one gets hurt so we don't get sued. :)
Annicka can totally get some air on this thing.
And of course Park has to be extremely cautious going over.
Indie is outside on this thing almost all day. He gets a little bit of air himself sometimes. When he does he always says, "wow! Awesome jump!"
