Two dollar Tuesdays

Thanksgiving Point does $2 Tuesdays in August every year and it's become a tradition for us to go with my brother and his family. This year we went to the children's garden and we had a blast!
 Crazy climbing Milo!

All the cousins, and some friends. Everybody scream!
And, while we were there, I pulled Park's first tooth. FINALLY! It's been wiggly for months and he wouldn't let me pull it, but that night he could bend it so far forward that you could see the bottom. So I grabbed and pulled and wallah! Almost 7 and he finally lost his first tooth! What an exciting day!

SCHOOL!

School started on Tuesday for the older kids! YAY! They were so excited that Annicka was up at 5:30a and couldn't go back to sleep. Not to mention that she came into our room at 11:30p the night before complaining that her foot was cramping every time she put her shoe on. "Shoe? What are you doing putting your shoes on? We're all sleeping and you're putting shoes on?" "Mom, I'm trying to get ready for school!" Oh brother!

Annicka is in 3rd grade this year and so far I am really impressed with her teacher. Park is in 1st and is still adjusting to being at school most of the day. But he does like eating lunch at school. They ride their bikes together, at least until it gets cold. Park seems to really like his teacher as well, especially since the neighbor boy had her last year. Indie will start preschool on Tuesday. He'll go Tuesday through Friday for half a day and he still gets to take the bus. Hooray for school! And while they are in school, I'll be finishing my degree! 5 credits left and almost there! I've applied to graduate in December. That means I've got to really gun for it now!

OH MY!

Milo found the Vaseline...I think that's all the explanation that is needed. And yes, that is the WHOLE container!

Mr. Destruct-o

Milo is the messiest baby I have had so far. If something is clean, he feels it needs to be dirtied. If it's dirty, it's not dirty enough. He will dump out anything and everything he can get his hands on. Indie always had his things that he liked to pull out but once those were out he was satisfied. And yes, Indie's dumping out stage lasted probably three times longer than a normal child's. While that was frustrating in it's own way, Milo has far surpassed him in ability to make a giant mess. The biggest problem is that he is a climber and he knows how to push the stools around to different counters and higher places so that he can find even more things to dump. Let me illustrate:
This is my kitchen floor and on any particular day it is this bad. This was by 9 am. Some days I am lucky and it doesn't get this way until 11 am. I've given up on trying to keep things swept more than once a day because it seems to make Milo even worse!
Never in my life did I ever think I would be able to sweep up this much junk from one day's accumulation.
It's a good thing you are so stinking cute Milo, otherwise we might have given you back!
