Guess who said his first independent prayer? INDIE! I often wonder how much Indie is absorbing. We still  have a hard time getting him to hold still and fold his arms during the prayer, let alone getting him to say a prayer. Milo does better. He has said a repeated prayer maybe a handful of times and we are lucky if he'll fold him arms during the prayer maybe once a week. Well one night we had gathered for family prayer and it was Scott's turn. He began the prayer but was interrupted by Indie saying, "my turn!" So Scott began to help him and Indie said, "No, I say it." So Scott let him try. He began his prayer with, "Heavenly Father..." and ended with "Amen." Half of what was in between wasn't intelligible, but Indie said a prayer!

Olympic Spirit

Since the Winter Olympics are going we decided to base a Family Home Evening around it. We had a short lesson where we talked about hard work and how it helps us learn to be happy and gives us a sense of accomplishment. We talked about how hard Olympians have to work and how when Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden they were told they would have to work hard and how it is not a punishment that God gave Adam and Eve, but really a blessing. For our activity we had a series of "Olympic games" that all of the kids had fun doing, even Milo. Basketball shooting, a long jump, an obstacle course and even a dance contest. I love how excited they all look after getting their dollar store medals.

Smiles!

Three weeks old and Ever has started to smile in the last few days. Last night we were finally able to capture it. We just love it! She is also a good sleeper. Already at night she sleeps at least 4 hours for the first stretch, often 5-6 hours. I can't believe my luck, especially after the first four who didn't sleep through the night consistently until about 8 months or so, no matter what kind of sleep training we did. Yay! She does, however, nurse a lot during the day to make up for it.

 Giant yawns are the BEST!

Yes, she has this creepy wide-eyed stare that makes me laugh!
