I haven't blogged in well over a year. I can't say
I really missed it much. It was a good break.
I think I am ready to give it a go again!
(even though I think my mom is the only
one who checks my blog anymore)
It has been a very busy, but GREAT year!
Here is what I have been up to:
Jordan and I got engaged!
He flew down to NM on December 26th to surprise me.
And surprise me he did! I thought I had figured out when
he was going to propose to me, which I wasn't very
happy that I knew, but boy was I wrong! He had me call
him on his cell phone, and when I did I heard a ring
come from the same room. My face was priceless.
I know because he recorded it!
For Jordan's 24th birthday we went snowboarding.
We spent most of the time going down the bunny hill
trying to teach me how to carve. He's a champ for
sticking by me that day. We had a blast though!
We bought our first home together. It's a condo in
North Orem. We love it here, except for the lack of
storage space. That's what extra bedrooms are for.
We are indeed blessed to be living here though. Our
ward is pretty great and our neighbors... are pretty quiet,
which makes them great!:) Jordan moved in here a little
before school ended, and I, of course, joined him after
we got married.
I GRADUATED!
I wasn't quite sure I wanted to walk, but I am really
glad I did. It was fun to celebrate with those who
worked so hard along side of me for this day.
It also gave me a lot of closure. It was a perfect,
happy day. Jordan, Allyson, and my mom came
to watch me walk. Afterwards we met up with some
of my close friends for some BBQ food. And
then Jordan rented me a puppy! Again, I say,
It was perfect.
And then Jordan and I sealed the deal! We got
married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on May 17th.
It was a beautiful day. It went by so incredibly fast
I couldn't believe it. Our smiles never ended though.
We were married and surrounded by people that loved
and supported us.
We spent our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic,
hanging out on the beach or pool, drinking yummy virgin
drinks. Our typical day would start on the beach and then
move on to the pool. Then we were so tired from relaxing
we would go back to our room and take a nap.
Nightlife in all inclusive resorts are interesting. The
drinking and partying never stopped. Jordan and I would
get a soda or a water in the evenings and play some card
games in the main area. Then we would go to an awesomely
cheesy performance they would put on every night. Actually,
some of them were pretty entertaining.
Jordan and I decided that we wanted 3 receptions.
We aren't stupid, and I have no regrets. Our parents
might though. Haha! Our last reception was in
New York. My parents came as well and we had a lot
of fun besides just the reception. We went to the
horse race track, played mini golf, played some
arcade games, and the boys went golfing.
Once the fun summer was over, it was time
for reality to start again. This is Jordan on his
first day of the junior core, which is the hardest
2 semesters in his undergrad. He had to dress
all handsome and professional. I didn't mind.
Aaaand FYI he totally kicked the Jr core's
butt his first semester. So proud of him!
We also welcomed a new niece and a new nephew.
Delphine (top) was born August 14th and Van (bottom)
was born August 14th. Yup, you read that right. They were
born the same day, 11 minutes apart! We were thrilled!
I started horseback riding lessons in the fall.
It is something I have always wanted to do. I was
surprised how challenging it is! Not to mention I got put
in an advanced riding class with people who have
been riding for years. But they were impressed with me,
and it made me push myself. The horse in the picture is
named Kit. She is incredibly stubborn, and I think she
hates me, but she is my favorite so she has to put up
with me. haha!
Jordan and I went to a Jazz game. The Magic
were playing, and on that team is one of Jordan's
favorite players from Indiana University.
(hence the IU shirts)
We got to spend our very first Christmas together.
It was so special and so fun!
And we ended our year with meeting my parents
in Arizona for some golf, shopping, and fun.
Unfortunately, we got unlucky and went there
when the weather was cold, but it did't stop us.
It was a blast!
It's crazy looking back and seeing all i've done
in over a year. I wouldn't change a thing!

We took our engagement pictures in Arizona. It was
still brown and ugly in Utah. We had an amazing
lady, Chandra, take our pictures. We loved them so
much! And we had a great time with my parents in
lovely, warm, Arizona.
A little while later we had our bridal/groomals
taken in Utah.
