Making Up Missed Time

I haven't blogged in well over a year. I can't say
I really missed it much. It was a good break.

I think I am ready to give it a go again!
(even though I think my mom is the only
one who checks my blog anymore)

It has been a very busy, but GREAT year!

Here is what I have been up to:

Jordan and I got engaged!
He flew down to NM on December 26th to surprise me.
And surprise me he did! I thought I had figured out when
he was going to propose to me, which I wasn't very
happy that I knew,  but boy was I wrong! He had me call
him on his cell phone, and when I did I heard a ring
come from the same room. My face was priceless.
I know because he recorded it!

For Jordan's 24th birthday we went snowboarding.
We spent most of the time going down the bunny hill
trying to teach me how to carve. He's a champ for
sticking by me that day. We had a blast though!

We bought our first home together. It's a condo in
North Orem. We love it here, except for the lack of
storage space. That's what extra bedrooms are for.
We are indeed blessed to be living here though. Our
ward is pretty great and our neighbors... are pretty quiet,
which makes them great!:) Jordan moved in here a little
before school ended, and I, of course, joined him after
we got married.

We took our engagement pictures in Arizona. It was
still brown and ugly in Utah. We had an amazing
lady, Chandra, take our pictures. We loved them so
much! And we had a great time with my parents in
 lovely, warm, Arizona.

A little while later we had our bridal/groomals
taken in Utah.

 I GRADUATED!
I wasn't quite sure I wanted to walk, but I am really
glad I did. It was fun to celebrate with those who
worked so hard along side of me for this day.
It also gave me a lot of closure. It was a perfect,
happy day. Jordan, Allyson, and my mom came
to watch me walk. Afterwards we met up with some
of my close friends for some BBQ food. And
then Jordan rented me a puppy! Again, I say,
It was perfect.

And then Jordan and I sealed the deal! We got
married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on May 17th.
It was a beautiful day. It went by so incredibly fast
I couldn't believe it. Our smiles never ended though.
We were married and surrounded by people that loved
and supported us.

We spent our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic,
hanging out on the beach or pool, drinking yummy virgin
drinks. Our typical day would start on the beach and then
move on to the pool. Then we were so tired from relaxing
we would go back to our room and take a nap.

Nightlife in all inclusive resorts are interesting. The
drinking and partying never stopped. Jordan and I would
get a soda or a water in the evenings and play some card
games in the main area. Then we would go to an awesomely
cheesy performance they would put on every night. Actually,
some of them were pretty entertaining.

Jordan and I decided that we wanted 3 receptions.
We aren't stupid, and I have no regrets. Our parents
might though. Haha! Our last reception was in
New York. My parents came as well and we had a lot
of fun besides just the reception. We went to the
horse race track, played mini golf, played some
arcade games, and the boys went golfing.

Once the fun summer was over, it was time
for reality to start again. This is Jordan on his
first day of the junior core, which is the hardest
2 semesters in his undergrad. He had to dress
all handsome and professional. I didn't mind.

Aaaand FYI he totally kicked the Jr core's
butt his first semester. So proud of him!

We also welcomed a new niece and a new nephew.
Delphine (top) was born August 14th and Van (bottom)
was born August 14th. Yup, you read that right. They were
born the same day, 11 minutes apart! We were thrilled!

I started horseback riding lessons in the fall.
It is something I have always wanted to do. I was
surprised how challenging it is! Not to mention I got put
in an advanced riding class with people who have
been riding for years. But they were impressed with me,
and it made me push myself. The horse in the picture is
named Kit. She is incredibly stubborn, and I think she
hates me, but she is my favorite so she has to put up
with me. haha!

Jordan and I went to a Jazz game. The Magic
were playing, and on that team is one of Jordan's
 favorite players from Indiana University.
(hence the IU shirts)

We got to spend our very first Christmas together.
It was so special and so fun!

And we ended our year with meeting my parents
in Arizona for some golf, shopping, and fun.
Unfortunately, we got unlucky and went there
when the weather was cold, but it did't stop us.
It was a blast!

It's crazy looking back and seeing all i've done
in over a year. I wouldn't change a thing!

Freeze Football

Jordan has never been to a BYU football game and we came
across free tickets from my Uncle. The weather was forecasted
to be snowy and cold…. but we went anyways with a friend of
Jordans. We figured we would reminisce in the future about
how crazy we were.

Jordan is sad because he's cold

 Jordan, Me, and Bradon

The snow coming down

Snow accumulating on our blanket

Jordan's nose got cold so I wrapped by scarf around his face.

Needless to say, we only lasted 3 minutes before half time.
Not only was it freezing because our blankets were wet,
but we were winning by 40. So we didn't feel like we were
going to miss out on much. Next time I think we will go when
it is a little warmer. :)

Miss America

For halloween this year, Jordan and I went
as Miss America and the Master of Ceremonies.

My mom let me borrow this awesome dress and
I thought it would be perfect and easy costume.

We thought it would be funny to make quote bubbles with
Q&A. My answer of course had to be "world peace."

We went to my Stake's Halloween Party with Andy
and Kayla. It was pretty happening. We danced for a
few songs, got a treat, and then decided we had enough
fun and went back to Andy's to go hot tubbing.
It was a nice night with great friends.

Stadium of Fire

This fourth of July my parents bought tickets to
go watch Stadium of Fire. It was my first time
going, but I have watched the fireworks from the
show in the past years from my aunt and uncle's deck.

Allyson got to come with us. We had such a blast!
My parents got us 4th row floor seats.

 Cirque Du Soleil was spectacular.

Carly Rae Jeppson was fun and outgoing.

Kelly Clarkson has an incredible voice!
Ally and I had so much fun singing along.

And the fireworks were right over our heads!

Ally put on her hat so the ashes didn't get in her eyes.

Thanks again, mom and dad, for taking us!

Kimi's Wedding

I've been really bad at posting on my blog this summer.
Summer school has been a beats.

On May 18th my best friend Kimi got Married!

It was a beautiful day celebrating a beautiful couple!

You're Twenty Four

I am officially 24 now! Holy cow!
I was dreading my Birthday, only because
I had to work at 8am and then go to school until
8pm. It was going to be a busy day. However, it
was still great because of my wonderful friends-
especially Jordan and Lizzy. They went above and
beyond to make my day awesome. It all started when
I was about to get off at work. I was talking to a client
on the phone when I saw two clients walk in. When I
transferred the client on the phone to my coworker, I
looked up to tell the clients who were waiting for me to
help them to hold on a couple minutes before I could help
them. When I looked up, it was Jordan and Lizzy standing
there. I almost fell out of my chair because it was such a
surprise. Once I had finished the call they gave me a piece
of cake and wished me a happy birthday. I was done
with work, so we all walked out together and talked
by the cars. I had to go to class, and they asked me if
I was going to get any lunch. I told them that I didn't
have time and that I wasn't even hungry. Jordan
said he was going to bring me Jimmy John's to class
and I told him I was fine, and that he wouldn't be able
to find me anyways. They both laughed at me and said
they could. I reassured them that I would be fine and
not to worry about me. So I went to school and while
I was sitting in class, and all of the sudden I see a Jimmy
John sandwich placed on my desk. I looked up and
see Jordan running out of my classroom. He stopped and
look at me for a couple seconds and then left. I was completely
shocked! He later told me that the look on my face was
priceless. I believe him. I did not see that one coming at all.
I thought I had convinced them that I was fine. I was also
curious as to how he found out where my classroom was. After
I got out of my class he texted me to go to my car before it
rained. So I went and I found an awesome poster that said
"Happy Birthday" that Lizzy drew for me. They are the best!
After school I met up with Ally, Kayla, Jordan, and Lizzy
for dinner at Malawi's Pizza. We had a great time and I
opened some awesome gifts from them! I am so lucky
to have such wonderful friends that would go out of their
way to make sure my birthday was extra special.

On Saturday I had my
Birthday BBQ Bunco Bonanza!
It was fantastic! Jordan used his mad grilling skills
and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for us. After
dinner, we all went inside and played bunco!
Everyone said they had a great time, and I was glad
because I had a blast. I had wonderful friends and
family surrounding me. How could I not be happy?

Thank you to all those who made my birthday so
wonderful!
