This weekend we went camping at New River State Park.  The kids love to camp and love being outside.  CJ and Liam were playing in Bonnie and Wil's camper.  Bonnie went in to check on them and they were laying on the bed with their knees crossed talking.  This is how their conversation went...
Liam:  CJ I can't believe you tried to kiss Josie
CJ:  Me did but she just ran away
Bonnie came out of the camper laughing and told all of us.  We loved it!  Those boys are so funny!!

Tonight we were sitting down getting ready to watch a Christmas movie with the kids.  Savannah loves to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie.  One of the commercials came on and it was a movie advertisement for the movie called "La La Land".  Savannah without missing a beat looks at Charlie and I and says:  Sometimes I am in la la land.  Charlie and I died laughing. She makes us smile all the time!

Today CJ was sick and it was the last day of school before Christmas vacation.  I was suppose to be helping with Savannah's classroom party and helping with Polar Express Day at her school.  So, that morning Charlie and I were talking about where CJ could go while I helped with these parties.  On the way to take Savannah to school this is how our conversation went:

Savannah:  Mom, I am going to have to tell Barbie and Ken that the pool party is canceled.
Me: Savannah what do you mean?  Why is the pool party canceled?
Savannah:  CJ is sick and he can't bring Miles to the party so we have to cancel it.
I just busted out laughing!  I love this girl and how her mind works!

Later that day Savannah and I went to Scott and Sherri Beam's barn service they have every Christmas.  While we were there and Pastor Dale was giving the sermon Savannah looks at me and this is what she says:

Savannah:  Mom is this where Jesus was born?? (A shocked look on her face)
Me:  No, not here but in a stable similar to this a long time ago
Savannah:  Oh ok.
She cracked me up with the look on her face.  I love this little girl!!

We were blessed enough this year to be able to go to Disney World.  My parents were going to Orlando and had an extra room in their condo.  So, they invited us to go.  We didn't decide we were going until about 3 weeks before we left.  So, it was definitely a spur of the moment trip.  We did not tell the kids we were going until right after school that day.  When were were getting ready to leave.  Savannah started jumping up and down and screaming she was so excited.  CJ just kind of looked at us in shock.  Either way they were both super excited about getting to go to Disney World.  We left on a Tuesday at 5:00pm and got to Orlando at about 2:00 am.  We wanted to maximize our time there.  We were able to go to Magic Kingdom for 2 days, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.  My parents went with us to the parks most of the days.  I think we wore them out running around everywhere trying to get all the rides in.  CJ still had no interest in talking to the characters but Savannah loved it of course.  CJ did however love the roller coasters this time.  Seven Dwarfs mine Train he screamed on the first time he rode it when he was 2 but loved it this time.  It was a great trip!
 

We were able to go to the mountains for the weekend to get our Christmas tree.  The Richardsons and the Specht's were able to go with us this year.  This was the first time we had gone with them to get a Christmas tree.  We had a blast.  They kids loved spending the night together in the cabin and going to get Christmas trees.  We were able to be with Allie while she got her first Christmas tree.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  We enjoyed spending time with family!  We are so thankful for all the ways God has blessed us!

Savannah has taken dance at the YMCA for the last 3 years.  She loves it!  We had her recital today and she did great.  Here is our little dancer.
