4k Graduation..

Well she made it!  She has finished 4K and is officially ready for 5K!
She was so proud of herself and she was ready for the night.

We were so glad to see Mrs. O.C. at the school.  This was the first time she had been back since her surgery.  But there was no way she was passing up graduation.

We got a quick picture with Mrs. B too.  She was so sweet to take "our girls" for the last 4 weeks of school while Mrs. O.C. healed.

Sugar Bear sang her little heart out.  She knew all the words to all the songs and she did great.  They did some of the cutest little songs and I enjoyed the program so much.   One of the songs was a remix of the Justin Bebier song Baby.  I wish I could post the video because it really was so cute.

Sugar Bear looked at  me later that night and said Mommy I was so proud of you for not crying.
How about that she was proud of me.

I was really proud of her.  She has grown so much over the past year.

I later asked her what Mrs. B was telling her before she went on stage.  She said she was telling her not to use her diploma as drumsticks, a telescope, a trumpet or a back scratcher.  I guess she was naming all the things she had seen the kids do in years past.  Sugar Bear thought that was funny.

She was so funny when she went to get her diploma she basically ran up there.
She shook hands with the pastor of our church and Mrs. O.C.

Do you think she was excited?

She was SO glad that her NaNa, PaPa, MiMi, PawPaw and Uncle D came to see her.
 She felt so special.

Big Sis was there too.  These girls got to sit together and watch their little sisters graduate.
It was just a few years ago that it was them up on that stage.

After the program we went to the reception and ate some snacks and visited with friends.  I also managed to get this cute picture of her and the pastor of our church.  I think he was proud of her too.

First and Last

Here is Sugar Bear on her first and last day of 4K....

Here is Pooh Bear on her first and last day of 1st Grade...

I did not think the girls had changed much until I saw these pictures side by side.
I guess they did change some over the year.

KIndergarten Popsicle Party

The day finally came.  She got to go to her Kindergarten popsicle party.
We got to walk in with our sweet friend.  Sugar Bear was so excited.

On the way in the school she found a crayon outside
that looked just like the one she got on her mailbox.

Once we got in the school we found her name tag and what room she was going to.  Her color was green so off to the Kindergarten hall we went.  We found her room and she found some friends.

We know all of these girls which was nice for Sugar Bear.  I left her there and went to the parents meeting. By the time the meeting was over she had already eaten her popsicle and was ready to go.  I was so sad that I did not get a picture of her eating with her friends. But she had a great time and is so ready to be at the "Big School".

We are changing her name..

She is no longer Annabelle the hamster she is now Houdini the hamster.
I don't know what we are going to do about this silly little "rat".

She got out of her cage AGAIN last night and this is how we found her this morning.

She pulled the fibers from the bath rug AGAIN and made a little bed next to the tub.

If she keeps this up I won't have a rug left.

If you had a cage like this would you leave?  Daddy Bear tired his best to rearrange the cage to keep her in.  But no such luck.  I am not sure there is any cage that can keep her happy and keep her in.

She thinks she is so cool in her sunglasses.

Art show for Pooh Bear

After I left the Mother's Day Breakfast at the Preschool I headed over to the "Big School" (as my kids call it) to see Pooh Bear's art work.
I got there a little early and found these two outside playing at recess.
They stopped for just a minute so I could take their picture.

After recess it is lunch.  So I joined Pooh Bear and her friends and watched them eat as I visited with the girls and one of my friends.  Don't you just love the garbage can in the back ground.  I was 0 and 2 for the day on pictures with my girls.  I guess I will just have to keep trying.

And it was Friday so she got to pick a treat.  This day it was chocolate ice cream.
I think it was good to the last bite.

After lunch we headed inside to check out her art work.
Her colorful tree house was chosen for the Matisse award for line.  I am not sure what that means but I did think the picture she drew was pretty cute.  She also pointed out that she blended and mixed the colors.

She was very proud of this.  Last year she made a bunny and this year it was a little tougher, it was a cup.  She showed it to me and told me all about how she made it.  The last thing she told me was YOU CAN EVEN DRINK FROM IT.  She was very excited about that little fact.  I am not sure if she was trying to suggest I drink from it or if she wanted to.  But either way I told her that I thought it was best and safest to put it in our cabinet in the living room next to the bunny from last year.  After she thought about it for a minute she agreed.  So now it is proudly displayed in the cabinet for everyone who comes to the house to see.

Pooh Bear insisted I take a picture of this art work.
Here is the picture that one of the little girls in Pooh Bear's class did.  Everyone was so amazed at how good it was.  I have to say I was too.  Pooh Bear said she has been working on it since Sept. and that it has all the kids in the class on it.  Pooh Bear is the one in the far bottom right corner with the long hair and her leg kicked up. The little girl is from Korea, notice the two different flags.

Pet Week

Sugar Bear had pet week at her preschool the other day and she insisted that we bring a pet.

On the day I came up there Sonny the dog was there too.  He is one of my friends dogs and he is like a person.  He did all kinds of tricks like sitting, laying down and shaking hands.  One other fun fact about Sonny is that he is scared of people chewing gum.  Kind of silly, uh?
Do you think Sugar Bear looks impressed?  I bet she was thinking yea, yea lets get to the hamster.  She has NO patiences, just like her Momma.

We decided to bring Annabelle the hamster.  All the kids really liked watching her run around her cage. I even got her out and let the kids rub her.  She was very well behaved but she did not perform any tricks.  Sugar Bear tried her best to talk me into bringing Comet up there to.  But I told her that Comet would be a very boring dog after seeing Sonny.

Mother's Day Breakfast

I love this program that Sugar Bear's school does.  I got to go with Pooh Bear when she was in the 4K preschool and I could not wait to go with Sugar Bear.

All the Moms stood out in the hall way waiting for the kids to come out and walk them in.

When we were escorted in we had to look at all the dressed up chairs and find which one was ours.
Of course I went straight to this one because it looks just like me, right?  No really, I knew this was me because that was the shirt Sugar Bear picked out of my closest and took to school.

This is what our class room decorations looked like and our YUMMY breakfast.

We got to sit next to our favorite friend.

One of these days I will get a good picture with just me and the girls or should I say girl.
Her 4K graduation is coming up soon so maybe I will get one then (fingers crossed).

My pretty girl.  I was so sad at the breakfast.  I was sad because this is my baby and she is already 4.5 years old.  All of our lives will change a bunch come August.  And if you know me I do not like change.  I am ALL about things staying the same.  But she is excited and I need to remember that and be happy for her.  She looked like she was so embarrassed that I was crying.  She gave me the look.  The look that says come on MOMMA no one else is crying, pull yourself together.  Believe me I tried really hard.  But when the teacher started reading this book:
I lost it.  Now I was not sobbing and making a big scene but I could not stop the tears.
If you have not read it you really should but if you are like me you will cry.  And her teacher right now can sing really pretty.  So she sang parts of the book and for some reason that really got me choked up.  I did feel silly crying but I just could not help it.

Okay moving on....here are some of the really pretty pictures she made for me.  I will cherish these little pictures forever.

It was a really great day and I enjoyed every minute of my breakfast, even when I was crying.  I hope both my girls REALLY know how much I love them and how much they mean to me. I know I will spend the rest of my life trying to make sure they do.

The only thing that was out of place was the room and the teacher.  Sugar Bear's teacher that she has had all year was unable to be there.  She had to have an unscheduled triple bypass and unfortunately will not be back for the rest of the year.  She was so sad and she misses the girls so much.  Her class of 6 girls was divided and 3 went with one teacher and 3 went with another teacher.  But I have to say Sugar Bear has adjusted well.  She was happy that she is now in class with her best friend (the little girl pictured above) .  But she still misses her Teacher and so do I. We are hoping that she will make it back for the graduation!

More Easter Afternoon Fun

After swimming we headed over to my parents house so the girls could hunt eggs with my brother D.

My mom got these two great pictures.

As soon as we got there they were all over Uncle D to hide their eggs.  Of course he was happy to do so.
As you can tell the girls were out to get all the eggs even if it meant they had to run, push and shove.
Not quite what I was thinking but some times you just have to let it go.  I promise no one was hurt in the making of these pictures.

Of course a few of the eggs were hidden in some very hard places and required some help.

I can't believe how old all the kids look.
