Cheer Practice

She had her very first cheerleading practice last Tuesday and she loved it.
I really am sad that she is not dancing BUT...I am really looking forward to watching her cheer.

Such cute friends.  They are going to have a fun year together.

What was Pooh Bear up to....

while little sis was at dance camp?  She was with me and we were at the zoo.  Since I took Sugar Bear to the zoo when she was at Softball Camp it was Big Sister's turn.  And she got to take a friend too.

I think this is the biggest turtle I have EVER seen.  The girls and I wondered how he could even walk.

 mmm... Breakfast.

I still think he is probably the most beautiful animal in the whole zoo.  And he was really "talking" that day.  He was pacing and roaring.  Not sure why but it was interesting to watch.

I am sure you are asking yourself what in the world are they doing?  Well that is kind of a long story.  That starts with Sugar Bear got a pen and got to mark off the animals on a "passport".  And the story ends with Pooh Bear remembered it and wanted to do it too.  So I bought the pens as soon as we got in the door and started looking for the passports and of course, they were out.  So the girls did the next best thing.  They wrote the names of all the animals they saw on their arm.  But I made them stop once they got to their wrist.

Cooling off.

The girls had a ton of fun climbing all over the termite mound.

They made it to the very top.

The girls need a little more practice before they start a band.  All the banging on the drums was not exactly music to my ears.

Look at that balance and form.  She ran all the way across the log and never once fell or even slid.

We ended the day with a ride on the carousel.  Pooh bear rode a seal and EG rode the zebra.

Dance Jamm- Fun in the Sun...

Sugar Bear went to dance camp this past week and she had a BLAST!  She loves to dance and they made the camp so fun.  They had a runway show and a short dance on the last day.  Here are all the pictures....

They also had this adorable back drop for a photo shoot.

All week KC had a hard time adjusting to camp.  Each morning she was a little sad and Sugar Bear each day did all she could to try and make her a little happier.  On the last day she ended up walking the runway with her and dancing right beside her.

After all the fun she ended the day and week with an ice cream sandwich.

MMM Doughnuts....

Who doesn't love a doughnut?  I know we do!  We went the other day to Aunt L and Rea house to pick up some clothes she had out grown.  And on our way there we noticed they had opened a new Krispy Kreme.  Well....there was no way we were going to drive by and not stop for a chocolate with sprinkles doughnut!

More jumping

Since Pooh Bear was scared to jump off the top...

she jumped off the bottom.

And of course Sugar Bear jumped off the bottom too!

More 4th fun..

So I have already told you how proud I was of Pooh Bear.  Well now it is Sugar Bear's turn.  My parents have a double deck boat dock that we all love.  The reason we love it the most is because we can jump off the top.  Both the girls have been jumping off for a really long time.  Pooh Bear jumped off first when she was about 3 or 4yrs old and she has every year EXCEPT this year.  Well Sugar Bear on the other hand she ran up to the top of the dock this year and off she went.  She was so brave and she has really perfected the art of landing in the water.   Now I want everyone to know that they are really safe.  It is 20-25 feet deep where they go in and they ALWAYS have their life jackets on.  And they are not allowed to jump unless one of us is in the water.   I would rather them get to do it and be safe then not do it at all.

Look at that face...

She looks so stressed...

Look her legs are together and her arms are by her side, her eyes are closed and her toes are pointed.

She barely even makes a splash when she hits the water.

I chanced it and took my camera out in the water on a float for a "better" picture.  What I think is so funny about the next set of pictures is that she is looking straight at me smiling the WHOLE time.  She is such a little ham.

If she has jumped off that dock once over the last couple of weeks she has jumped off it at least 25 times. I am proud of her for over coming her fears and jumping.
