Valentine's Day

Here are the girls reading their cards.

and digging in

The girls got several things but I think their favorite was the house shoes.

Pooh Bear modeling her new house shoes.
And how about my empty frames on the wall in the back ground?  My dad and I made them over New Year's.  I am super happy with them but now I have to get the perfect picture to put in them.

This is the card Pooh Bear made for me.  It had a starburst stuck in it that is why the star is circled.  And she wrote "if we had one" because we don't put a star on our Christmas Tree.  I thought that was pretty funny.

This is the card from Sugar Bear.  It says Mommy have a very gud valntines.  I love you mommy your the bas (best) momy.

The toothless wonder

My poor Pooh Bear is loosing teeth left and right.  Her Daddy told her that the tooth fairy needed to put a tent up in the back yard.  And Her Mimi told her that the tooth fairy was going to need a loan.

This was the first tooth and it came out easy breezy...

The second tooth did not come out so easy.  I pulled on it and the back came lose easy but the front of the tooth was hard.  The front of the tooth was holding on for all it was worth.  I actually felt REALLY bad and I think the tooth fairy did too because she left $5 and a pair of earrings.

And the last tooth she pulled all be herself.  She was not letting me anywhere near her after the last tooth.

All of these teeth were lost in a matter of one week.  Doesn't it look like it hurts? I am so glad I am not still loosing teeth.

Valentine's Cards

I let the girls look on Pinterest and "pick" out which Valentine they wanted to make.

Pooh Bear chose the popcorn Valentine.
It says Just Popping through with a Valentine for You. We took popcorn and put it in a clear box with the cute little note.

Sugar Bear chose the Pop Rock Valentine.
It simple says You Rock and has pop rocks.  We found a red and white polka dot envelope and we printed the note on the front.  We used the cricut to cut of the guitar.

Father Daughter Dance

Friday everyone (except me) got dressed up and went to the church for a father daughter dance.

Sugar Bear was so excited because this is her first year to go.

This was Pooh Bear's third year but she was excited to go with her sister.

They had a great time dancing and playing games.  They made Daddy drink out a baby bottle and burp all while wearing a baby Mickey birthday hat.  The things we do for our kids.

Here are some pictures a friend of mine took at the dance.
They called this the Sugar Bear sandwich.

What's for Lunch

My newest obsession is the girls lunch.  Thanks to Pinterest.  I have started making my version of bento boxes.  I was tired of Sugar Bear buying bagel boxes at lunch and only eating the string cheese.  So while it is more effort I think both the girls like their lunch.  Here are a few pictures of the lunches I made last week.  I figure I have to take pictures as I go because I will be running out of ideas soon.

I used a sandwich press to make the heart shape.  It came from Williams and Sonoma and the robot pick was from there too.

The little foil thing at the top was a pouch full of sprinkles for Sugar Bear to put on her applesauce.  And the white stuff is marshmallow fluff to dip the strawberries in.

Pooh Bear's lunch is always a little healthier than her sisters.  She likes fruit and yogurt but her sister is still not a big fan.

Finally...

I signed my sweet girl up for gymnastics.  She is so excited she can barely stand it.  She loves going every week.  She is in rec.1/2 right now but maybe she will move up fast so she can be with some friends.

She made it...

She has survived 100 days of Kindergarten.

A new doll???

Best I can remember we just had Christmas, right?  So why are my girls opening boxes with a new doll inside?

They are opening boxes with new dolls because I said something before I thought about what I was saying.  Have you ever done that?  Please say you have and that I am not the only one.  See this is Mckenna and she is the 2012 American Girl doll of the year and the girls REALLY wanted her.  But I said ABSOLUTELY not.  Which then started the long and dark path which then led to me saying, yes if you want to use YOUR money to buy her you can.  See I never really thought they would actually spend all the money they have ever saved to buy the doll.  But that is where I was wrong.  They went flying upstairs brought down their piggy banks and started counting.  So now we have Mckenna too and I think by the smiles on their faces you can tell how excited they are.

Frozen Tide

Did you know that the University of Alabama has a hockey team?  Neither did I.  But my hubby loves hockey and he loves everything Alabama.  So what better to do on a Friday night? We loaded up the family and took off to watch the Frozen Tide.

And you may ask are they any good?  Well...To be honest I could not tell you.  But what I can tell you is that they won this game against Clemson.
