First Ever Time Playing Real Snow…

Trees in the snow

our own-made Snow man!
Last night it was snowing non-stop whole night…Therefore, today, 28 November 2006, Volgograd is officially ‘conquered’ by SNOW! This certainly is the first ever time in my life to witness totally white snowy scenery everywhere…
Today I played snow two times! Just now after class finished in the evening, I joined MARA 1st year friends to play snow together… and at night, there was electrical shortage for around 1 hour in our hostel…so we all decided to go down to play snow outside…at night! Throwing each other with snow…and we made a small snow man too… However, it’s so cold! Hands feel very painful…the feeling is like holding freeze ice for a long time…
Yup… It’s really fun…I’m very touched to have this opportunity to see and play real snow…really, how I wish I can share this memorable moment with you guys all…
Anyway…though today was just first day, but I already realize how much we have to suffer in winter… Walking on the snow is not easy…and It makes your shoes and long pants very dirty…and of course, the super freezing cold weather just make you feel uncomfortable…nose, ears and hands are the normal part that you will feel very painful when you are at outside…
But isn’t that I should suffer in appreciation and gratitude...
(Can’t spend too much time to resize my pictures during school days…I will do it during weekend…More snow pictures will be coming…)
p/s: If want to read more bout this snow day, can link to Ivan's blog... I have include his blog's link in my friends' blog section

Hectic Study Life begins…

Just wanna do a brief update… as begin on this monday, it’ll be another brand new beginning in my life as a medical student here…

Our 2-month intensive Russian classes plus Chemistry had over…and now onwards our real 1st year medicine programme begins… There are 9 subjects in our first semester time-table! (Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics-Maths, Latin Language, Russian Language, Russia’s History, Physical Training and Computer Informatics)

Study life sure will become very hectic and lots things to study... It’s a real tough challenge… I need to control myself and throw away my ‘slumberness’ in studies over past few years la… I really hope that I can do my very best even if I still incapable to get best possible result here…At least I must put effort on studies…

A little bit update bout the weather here also…It’s transition period of autumn and winter now… Recently most of the time the temperature is around -2C… But I still manage to cope with it by wearing more layers and gloves…Volgograd still not ‘occupied’ by snow yet… Here got snowing 2 times before… and the first ever time that I saw real snowing was on 12 October (Sunday) morning… However, the snows were very soft and when they dropped on floor, they melt immediately…

Actually I just came back from watching Man Utd vs Chelsea outside at a cafe with few other friends… The match was exciting and it was an interesting outing too…I think this is only the 2nd time I went out at night since coming to Volgograd… The night in Volgograd is quiet and leisure… However, it’s always not advisable to go out at night, especially if alone…because lots of Russians have the habit of drinking heavy alcoholic drinks and you don’t know what’s problem you will get if you face up those people…
Good Luck everyone!

Finally… Change Room

Now I online in new room already…
There are some Russian doctors who are coming to take their post-graduate course here and they will move into our hostel…and the problem occurs when university arrange them to stay in 3 rooms in 4th floor here including my room! That means we have to move into other room…
Very unfortunately, the section for Malaysian students in this hostel is very congested and there is no any empty room for us to move in but we have to move into any 3-person room that still have vacancy…
Of course… I’m not very happy with this movement…I’m so reluctant to leave my previous room…I already assumed that nice room is near to paradise standard already…But what to do… However, I don’t know how my feeling next time is whenever looking over to my previous room…

In the end… we move into the 3-person room opposite…So, now my room number is 48…and when reach the hall of 4th floor, my room will be at the right entrance…

My new roommate has a desktop computer in this room, flat screen…and has wireless keyboard, mouse and remote control…got sound surrounding system also…Some more has a hardware that can play PS2 ( don’t know what it’s called la…)

Huh…hopefully I no need to survive in a noisy music, gaming and movies environment… I will try to tolerate but hope the others will be considerate also…

First night in this room is not as bad as I thought… with these two roommates are quite ok… Hope no problem in future…

So…basically, problem has solved…What will happen in future is not under my full control again…But I will be optimistic…
Haih… Bad days seem like begin to fall… Life is beginning very busy… Chemistry has lots to study already... Russian Language is more and more complicated as we are learning its grammar…Russian has so many stupid rules in their grammar…
Just wish: New room, new hope…
