The days after exams...
Exams finally ended on last Friday…which means my 3rd year 1st sem officially come to the end too… and the long-awaited winter break has started!
And in the midst of torture during study week for exams, my laptop’s internal hard drive spoil... wth…so I lost almost everything inside as I never do a full complete back-up for quite a long time ady…
The biggest concern now is, my old laptop hard drive’s interface is ATA/IDE, and as far as I know , laptop that run with ATA interface hard disk can’t run SATA hard disk… So, after exam, I went searching for ATA hard disk in all the computer stores nearby city center, and none of them still sell it as now all use SATA d…
I think it’s really difficult to find that model d…and it’s better to get a new laptop la…but I will only get it when back to Malaysia later… So, for all the time being, I will just use my roommate’s laptop first when he is not using…and will try to find other ways as I heard some seniors got extra laptop over here…
So u see, we just can’t expect things will always been easy… when the common sense is to get a new hard disk then ok d, it has been so complicated to me on the other way…
Ok, just forget it at the moment…Chinese New Year is coming!
It’s the first time in 3 years that CNY actually falls at the same time with our annual 2-week winter break here…and initially I got consider to go back to celebrate CNY with family… but I found that the earliest possible time for me to reach home would be only at the night of 1st day of CNY, and to spend more than RM3.5k to go back for less than 2 weeks seems not really worth…
So, I just left out that plan and continue with a Europe backpack trip which sounds exciting to me too… We just finalize and confirm our trip schedule, and this time will be going to capitals of 4 different countries: Paris – Brussels – Amsterdam – Berlin.
And since some of us are leaving for their trips on this Sunday, we decided to do our 3rd yr batch Chinese’s reunion steamboat earlier on Saturday, which was last night… so 8 of us who were still here yesterday prepared all the stuff since afternoon and sat down together for a great steamboat for a whole night…
Btw, the steamboat here without all kinds of fish balls taste not so complete and fully satisfying la… but, it was still a blast anyway :)
Finally, I am off to my first destination, Paris tomorrow evening… C u in 2 weeks time!
