Peeping 2009
First of all, happy new year! It is just the 3rd day, still a long way to go…
Memories are everlasting, especially the great ones… so, I thought of making the first post in this very first month of another decade by browsing through briefly major occasions in my life of 2009… and I guess it can also be a good summarized journal for me to recall later on what fantastic things I had gone through, with the fact that I rarely blogged last year…
Ok, when people peep from far, they only see few but big things… and the same is applied here…
First one: Europe trip in the end of January. Traveling has been one of the main activities since I’m abroad… and the trip during last winter break was a great one too…
Paris, yea, description is needless…
Brussels, city glamour for its square, waffles and chocolates…
Amsterdam, an interesting city, it’s a heaven during daytime with lovely scenery and people; but turns into a hell at night with red light district, sex museum, marijuana…
Kinderdjik, Rotterdam, a peaceful town of windmills…
Berlin, where Berlin Wall used to be here…
Summer holidays in Malaysia during July and August: These 2 months were always the best period of the year for the last 3 years. Not forgotten, during last holidays, I travelled to Bangkok, went for Man Utd Asia Tour with great time in KL, had several met up with buddies here and there, visited some relatives, and even just stay at home with families was something precious.
Malaysian Intervarsity Games 2009, 24-26 April (Volgames 2009): I think this is my most satisfactory experience in 2009. This time, our uni was the host and we all had put lots of effort in planning and organization to make it a blast, and also trained very hard to emerge as overall champions … Personally, I had a huge pressure on shoulders to lead the table tennis team in order to sweep both gold medals in men and women team events… Fortunately, we managed to win both ,and the final match for our men’s team was a tense, exciting and memorable one as the match was very tight and we were playing with a huge and loud crowd of supporters… Eventually, our uni actually conquered this Volgames by winning 12 Gold medals out of a total of 25.

Overall, I have to say that medical student’s life over here is actually getting more and more lifeless with time goes on… yet I am very grateful for the opportunities to come across all these occasions which really made impacts in building memories of mine.
Wish that 2010 will be good too, preferably a better one:)
