You can't make this stuff up...

So we had quite the adventure last night. Greg went to a friends for the evening and I was putting the boys down for bed, when Samson went crazy. Then I heard someone bagging on my door. It was a cop. He frantically tells me to bring my dog in, shut off my lights and lock my doors. Scary. So I try to put Jett down, but he can tell something is wrong...and it is driving me crazy being alone. So I call Greg many times trying to get a hold of him. I call his friends. I am finally getting ready to call my brother-in-law, Darin, for back-up. Finally we talk and he comes home right away. By the time he got home, the police had our neighbors house surrounded with police tape, spotlights everywhere, a spike line across their garage (to flatten his tires if he tried to escape) and our neighbor in handcuffs laying on the ground. Not your normal night:) For hours we literally kept looking out our windows wondering what the heck was going on. We decided to go to bed, but Greg couldn't sleep because he heard truck noises again. He looked outside and there was the police "drug swat team" getting suited up. It was a drug bust. This isn't Kansas anymore, Toto:) Greg was up watching and video taping until 1 a.m. That's right. He got out the camera, put it on night vision and taped them bring out the drug lab. This morning we woke up to find the tape still up and signs all over the house (note picture at the bottom). We don't know all the facts, but we assume he had a drug lab in his basement and was dealing. We realized that some odd things fell into to place. Examples...their kids (3) were constantly outside without supervision (once I found their baby in the street), strange guys would come to our door asking for our neighbor (thinking it was his house....interesting), I saw him frantically running in our woods one night with another guy, their basement light was always on at night (they told us that their basement wasn't finished), and they always had parties and half the people would just sit in their cars. So we are fine, everyone is safe...just ticked that our kids were playing 20 feet from a drug lab. Our hearts are also sad for their children...hopefully they can find a safe and loving home and soak up as much attention as possible. So last night as we layed in bed we had to laugh and say..." That was crazy...you can't make this stuff up"!

We survived:)

The Replogle household has been a busy one lately. Mostly because, Greg, was in Las Vegas all last week, so that left one busy mom back home. The first day went well, but went downhill from there. On Friday a friend and I took our boys to McDonalds...drama, drama, drama. They played well until Jett's friend got brave and went on the bigger slide. You would have thought I took his blanket away or something. He was a mess. Crying so loud and bringing so much attention. I could tell people were trying not to stare, but they just had to find out what was wrong with this kid. At one point a lady came over and asked if I needed any help! That's right, there is no exaggeration going on in this story. I had Lee and Becca over for the evening, it was so nice to have help with the boys and adult conversation:) Then that night Jett woke up in the night and couldn't sleep and then Bray woke up and screamed for about 2 1/2 hours straight. Finally, they feel asleep shortly before 4 a.m. and then were up before 6 a.m. Saturday was such a long day. Luckily my cousin came over in the evening to keep me company. Sunday I had to sing at church so we were out the door at 8 a.m, but the Lord heard my cry, and the boys were great all day! We had Grandma Susie over for dinner and then played until Daddy got home. Yea! Daddy is home! I missed him so much. Not just for the help with the boys, but I missed my best friend. My companion. Welcome home, sweetie!

BOYS WILL BE BOYS:)

PRAISE JESUS! DADDY IS HOME:)

I LOVE MY DADDY:)

One Rockin' New Years Eve

Over the past few months we have become good friends with one hilarious girl, Jess, and were invited to her wedding, which was last night. It was an evening wedding up in one of the ballrooms in downtown Goshen. We got there at six for the wedding ceremony, cocktails for an hour, dinner (yum) and then the reception started and lasted until the new year (the party lasted, but not the Replogles:) Anyway, it was such a blast. My cousins, uncle and aunt, and Darin and Darcy were also there. We had so much fun. I finally convinced everyone to come out on the dance floor and boy did we all cut-a-rug! Everyone was crazy and so much fun. We danced for an hour and a half...literally danced til we dropped. I sat down and went downhill from there. I'm not used to being such a party animal:) We left shortly before midnight to ring in the New Year at home. What a great way to start out 2008. Here are a few pictures...

A full house

On Saturday we had one more Christmas at our house...and boy was it a full house. It was great! We had my Snider family over for dinner and white-elephant gifts. Every year instead of exchanging gifts, we collect money and give to a needy family or foundation. Then we exchange crapy gifts and laugh all night about it:) It was so fun to spend time with my cousins (most of them live far away and we aren't able to get together much). Everyone was able to come except Lee, Becca, Aaron and Megan and also my Uncle and Aunt and their kids (they live in Florida). As you can see, we had one full house:)
