Don't let her fool you!

She may be cute, but she has a dirty side:)
Beautiful. Yes!
Angel face. Yes!
Delicate. Yes!
Full of crap. Oh Yeah!

On Sunday Greg was gone and I decided to be super mom two weeks into my new crazy household and take the kids to church by myself. It was going so well and we were ahead of schedule and I was becoming overly confident in myself...until it was time to change Kyla's diaper...and it was like she was laughing in my face...Ha Mom, I'll show you! I took her diaper off and pulled her legs back to wipe when all of sudden I hear a grunt and then an explosion. It was like a shot out of a canon folks. Loud and messy. She had so much force behind it that the poo splattered on her door (that is 4 feet away). There was poo on the walls, carpet, all over the changing table, her clothes, my arm...and did I mention HER DOOR! So by the time I cleaned everything and everyone up, we squeaked into church just in time. Frazzled and not feeling so super, but we made it:)

Adjusting

It is still taking time to set in that we are a family of 5 now...and that it has been two weeks already that our sweet baby girl has entered our lives. It has been so wonderful and surprisingly smooth. The boys are still enjoying her...well Jett is loving on her still the same, Brayden has decided that she is ok, but still has no interaction with her. The biggest problem that we have had is that each of us have been sick over the last two weeks. Greg got a bad sore throat and cold the day I went into labor and is just now getting over it. Then he so graciously passed it on to me. It then went down into my chest and I've been hacking like a chain smoker for twenty years. Last week Brayden came down with an ear infection and strep throat. Then this morning Jett woke up puking! Awesome:) But we are all improving so I see a healthy household in the near future!

Kyla is doing wonderful and has been such a fabulous baby. She is mostly happy and content and so far mostly eats and sleeps. She is doing great at night and doesn't keep her exhausted mommy up for too long! She is totally a mama's girl and it makes life interesting when she wants held all day and I have two active boys that don't make that possible. We had her two week appointment and she is now up to 9lbs and 20 inches. Gees do my kids know how to pork up:)

She Is Here!

Kyla Suelyn Replogle

Our sweet baby girl was born on April 7th @ 4:29 a.m.
8lbs 1oz, 19 inches long
Beautiful!

So I pretty much had an amazing labor...couldn't have gone any better...unless you knocked me out after the first contraction. I started laboring around 9:00p.m. on Tuesday. My water broke at 12:03 a.m. on Wednesday (which was good because I wasn't stepping foot into the hospital until after midnight. We are cheap!) We arrived at 12:45 a.m. and I had my epidural (happy juice) in by 2:15. Took a nap, watched some tv. Doctor came in at 4:10 to check me and realized that I needed to push...NOW...had no idea...I couldn't even feel my toes. Told me to hold her in until they could get the room ready. Started pushing at 4:25...4 minutes later (WITHOUT any pain) I was holding my precious baby girl.

One proud Daddy!

Sweet baby! She is wonderful!

Getting loved on by Grandma!
We have loved the name Kyla for years. It was the name we had for both boys. Suelyn is after my mom (Sue) and in memory of Greg's mom (Linda). We are so honored to have our sweet little girl named after the most important women in our lives!

Brayden is not so sure what to think about this little thing in pink. He has pretty much ignored her, but today he did look at her and kiss the top of her head...improvement! Jett is SO excited about having a baby sister. Within five minutes of being home he had held and kissed her, jumped around clapping and talking a mile a minute, and brought her all the baby toys to play with. He also has A LOT of questions...about everything from nursing to how she came out...oh gees.
We laughed so hard when he looked at me confused after I tried to explain in the most tactful way possible about how she came out and he said,
"She came out of your butt?"
"Yep."
And we left it at that!

Welcome baby Kyla! We are so happy you are here!
