Football Fever!
We are loving' our tailgating parties and football games this year. The boys are older and they actually enjoy going and playing in the grass. Running down the hill and sliding to see how many grass stains they can get on their jeans, putting Mommy to the laundry test. We don't really see much of the game (one time I looked up at the score board and asked..."when did we score two touchdowns) because we are constantly watching the boys in fear that they will run away...and then Kyla just sits on Daddy's lap in her little cocoon...yep, she's really in there, what a sport:)
What is a football game without popcorn...that half is dropped on the ground...good thing it's just a dollar.

This and That
Three amazing kids...equals...One blessed mama!
A few things that have been keeping us busy...
Lots and lots of activity. I can only get these boys to sit still long enough to take a poo (or watch Dora) and then its run, run, run again:) See that letter puzzle? Pretty sure between the boys it has had over a 1000 hours of playtime since the beginning of the year. My mom found that at a garage sale for 25 cents and its been worth $25 in my eyes. Some days I'm like, "Really? The letter puzzle again!" But I'm glad that fun to them, is learning...
Trains. Trains. Trains...and now some cars in the mix. We have finally started to shift from trains 24/7 into the world of matchbox cars. We also moved the train table downstairs in hopes that they would use the basement more, but instead they have found interest in their other toys. Which isn't all bad. I love the imagination at work:)
Recently we had our future daughter-in-law over for a playdate:) The girl to the left of Jett is the girl from preschool that he loves...and that flame is still burning:) He claims that they are going to get married. And have a cat:) Cute isn't she! He's got good taste! Of course there was adult supervision at all times!
Drama. Drama. Drama. Jett lost his first tooth this week. After many, many tears. Pleads. Begging. And a $60 dentist visit...he is minus a tooth and a dollar richer. We were under pressure to get the tooth out because his big tooth was already coming in. Have I mentioned that I hate pulling teeth? The thought, feel and sound of a tooth coming out makes me want to vomit. Yep, just gagged thinking about it.
Learning. Learning. Learning....with a bit of exerice. I am trying to come up with creative ways to help the boys learn their numbers. I put post-it notes of the numbers (11-25) on the door and would call out a number and they would have to run and slap the number. It was fun, but next time I won't put so many up, too overwhelming. I think I'll just do ten numbers at a time. Live and learn.

A Rockin' Fun Day...
Kyla continues to be such a happy and content baby. Lights up a room with her wide open mouth smile. She has begun to giggle (so far only at her brothers, even though mom and dad try real hard). She loves playing with toys. Is trying to sit up on her own. Is liking rice cereal...better. Still sleeps...horrible. She is 14.5 lbs and 26 inches long. Not a big fan of being licked by the dog. Has only worn the same outfit...twice. Loves to stand (with assistance). Loves people. Loves music. My heart bursts with love everytime I look at her...
Brayden started Preschool today....and loved it! He's been waiting to go to school for months and today finally arrived. Today was a short day so the parents hung out upstairs during the class. Right before I went to the room, I wanted to catch one more glance of my baby starting his new adventure of learning. Yep...the class was gathered around the teacher listening to her read a book while I found Brayden off to the side in his own little world playing with his fingers. Classic! Then tonight as I was asking him all sorts of questions about school I ask..."So Brayden, did you read any books at school?" He looked up at me and said..."Um, No. They don't have books at school." Sounds about right:) Later he did remember they read a book around colors...whew, close call!

So to celebrate our awesome day...and the fact that we paid off our van today (yep, we offically own our rockin', running out of seats - becoming one large trash can - grocery getter - tan turd mini-van. What will you do with the extra cash a month you ask? Well, to start, fix everything that is going wrong with it...ahhh, the smell of car ownership is expensive)...anyhoo, we went down and had lunch with Daddy. He of course wanted to take a few pictures of the kids in the airplane. Yep, the airplane that if two rowdy boys broke anything would take us until we retired to pay back, airplane. Not stressful at all!
First Officer, Kyla, at your service.
My beautiful, precious, incredible family!
I am blessed!
(I think Kyla is praying..."Dear Lord, please don't let my brothers break anything, I really want to go to college some day:)"
