I am so happy! It's safe to say that Thursday was the worst day of the year so far, and I can only think that things are going up up up from there. It's finally summer and I'm home with my family and my man for the next three months...this will be a summer to remember, I can feel it!
Hopefully blogging will enter my life again because I sure do miss it!

What I'm diggin'...
1) This is seriously the cutest print EVER. A kittycat & Chanel? Ooooooh yes. One negative thing about Thursday - It was move out day and vanilla syrup spilled all over many of my belongings in the drive home, including my paintings. Once I realized this I was reeeeally upset (they mean a lot to me for different reasons) but tried to stay positive by noting how I needed new paintings and prints now!

2) I'm really excited to be able to shop again! I've had to pretty much completely stop shopping since the school year started in August. But, I will be getting a job (cross your fingers!) soon which means SHOPPING IS IN MY FUTURE. I want/need/can't resist this dress. So very me!

3) One thing I've recently become OBSESSED with is The Office. Do any of you watch it as well? I have started from Season 1 and am now on Season 2. The dry humor is too good.

Dwight is obviously my favorite.

honey, i found a reason to keep living

and you know the reason? dear, it's you.

this valentines day has been good to me. not the best it could be as i'm not with frank right now but, i still kept a smile on my face. i love my family, i love my friends, i love my boyfriend, i love my dogs. i love a lot of things and if i get an extra day to prove it, of course i'm going to take it. ESPECIALLY when chocolates and flowers are involved ;)

here are some thing around the blogosphere putting a smile on my face today:

1) personal flower wrap? how adorable! i would LOVE this. it adds that personal flair!

2) well, i ALWAYS love alexi from imboycrazy's posts...but TODAY'S post was so good! so real! and uplifting (for me). not being with frank on valentines day made me a little bit lonely, not gonna lie! but this post changed my mood a bit. i gave myself a personal mani and pedi with pink sparkles. i decided that i NEED to buy myself flowers next time i'm in the store. just because, right? because they make me HAPPY! i organized my closet! i had already called my mom because she sent me the CUTEST package ever. seriously, she's adorable! and i decided that i must go to a korean naked spa. sounds interesting and refreshing! sooooo, head on over there and maybe you'll feel as inspired as i did!

3) fell in love with red lipstick all over again! thanks to le fashion! i really need to find some GOOD red lipstick. any suggestions?

4) words can't even explain how much i love, want, and need this beautiful granny square blanket. my jaw literally dropped when i saw it. it is SO unbelievably beautiful and i can just imagine days of lounging around cuddled up in it with a cup of coffee and a good book. goodness, i am such a daydreamer...but really. what a beaut. everyone go tell becky how amazing she is!

5) i am lovvvvvin' reading about the backstage magic happening at the shows during nyfw!

positive side.

blogging helps me to realize the positive side to my days and good things i have going for me. so hopefully i can begin to post more often! thankfully, i'm starting to find more and more inspiration as the year progresses. feels nice.

first things first...how are all of you? i still keep up with all of your blogs. every. day. i'm a bit obsessed. how is the new year treating you? do tell!

i've been really good. starting off on the right foot with my classes, with my first exam tomorrow afternoon! i've never felt so prepared for an exam. frank and i are going on our 2 and 1/2 year anniversary in exactly one week! san marcos is as beautiful as ever but i can't wait for the weather to start warming up. life is good, to put it simply.

things i've been loving:

1) cinnamon muffins by the lovely chelsea. the best muffins EVER. i've been dying to make them for over a week now and continuously had something go wrong but this morning i made 'em and loved 'em. and my roommate loved 'em too. take my word for it and make them yourself.

2) pop up shop featuring local etsy artisans? UM YES PLEASE! I'M ALREADY THERE!

if you're in the austin area, you should definitely go!

who doesn't love rumi from fashiontoast? honestly? she's so beautiful and so stylish. but i couldn't even HELP myself when i saw this dress. i want it, i need it, i'm probably going to buy it.

4) it's been SO cold in san marcos. i live in texas. i am not prepared for 2 degree weather. if only i had one of these beauties to keep me warm as i'm walking across campus.

i LOVE christmas more than anything. i could be an elf.

1) check out this lovely way to wrap gifts! i'm definitely going to be using that diy.

i mean how cute is that?! PLUS christmas fabric is on sale at most fabric stores.

2) CHRISTMAS CARAMEL POPCORN? yes yes yes

i could probably eat all of it. but oh well!

3) I have a goal of learning how to knit during this christmas break. if anyone has any tips, throw em over :)

i'm just sayin'...those look cute AND comfy!

4) end of march is having a giveaway for a winter themed zine! howww cute!! go enter!

5) i'm gonna convince my dad to help me make some of these bottles of twinkle lights because i think they would look nice all throughout winter

6) how does olivia from everyday musings make EVERYTHING look good? her christmas extravaganza looks like it was so much fun! i'm gonna make myself some hot chocolate with candy canes tonight...mmm

7) how to make your own bow! so much prettier than the ones bought at the store (in my opinion)

8) lastly, if you are looking for a REALLY good christmas mix. well, thankfully angela made TWO. and i'm hear to tell you they've been on repeat for weeks.

alright...i guess here is where i should explain why i've been gone. it's actually pretty easy to explain...two words. FINALS WEEK. i was studying non stop for finals. and while i'm at, i was studying non stop ALL semester long. it's been a tough one you guys. but i'm proud to say that it all paid off! and hopefully next semester won't be so time consuming because i missed blogging. i'll be back tomorrow with my wishlist :)
