We want to start a family tradition of going to Bear Valley to spend the Fourth of July with Pappy and Grammy. Unfortunately, the twins got sick right before we left (go figure!) so our vision of obliterated fun and utter relaxation for 5 days was sold a little short. But thats okay, my kids never seem to be phased, they were still super troopers. That being said, on the drive up to their house, Zoey kept saying that she couldn’t wait to play with Thumper and Bambi. She truly believed that they’d be waiting for her and willing to do somersaults in the grass. Visits up here are never uneventful and so relaxing at the same time because you are literally forced to slow down. Plus, we pretty much have no agenda…it’s like Hawaii time.

You can barely see in this photo but there is a mommy deer with her twin fawns ( so I told Zoey and Hayden).

More deer.

Feeding the ducks.

I used this box for tires on the little box cars I made Zoey and Hayden (box car picture next) and they played hop scotch on it.

Tractor Rides with Pappy.

You’re next.

I’m going to get on my bike and race you Pappy

Can I help you push it back to the grass, pappy? I’m strong!
