Matt & Renee 10-27-2007

It's been some time since I've posted a new blog. Alot has happened recently in my life so, I'll fill you in.

First
Matt and I went on vacation a few weekends ago. It was so nice just to get out of town for a few days, just the two of us. We went to Santa Monica Beach and just hung out and relaxed. Our hotel was just across from the pier and the beach. We didn't have to drive anywhere, we walked across to the pier and then headed down the beach. We walked from Santa Monica through Venice and down to Marina Del Rey before we turned around and headed back to Santa Monica. It took us about 6 hours and the walk was nearly 10 miles (round trip). Our legs were dead by the time we got back to the hotel. Although it was probably too far to walk in a day, it was nice. The weather was great, the weird-os were cool, and it was just an over all nice day. We then went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner, which happened to be our Valentine's Day dinner. We ate at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co restaurant, the food was super good and the atmosphere was fun. Overall, the small weekend getaway was just what the doctor ordered!

Second
This is probably the most important news of all...we have a new edition to our small family. We are expecting our first child!!! To date, I'm about 12 weeks along. We've had the chance to meet our newest creation and hear the heart beat. I have a new doctor who I've just met and so far, I like her. What a miralce! The doctor has said that everything is going great with my pregnancy. I haven't had any morning sickness or nausea, thank God! I've actually lost a few pounds, which totally boggles my mind seeing as I've been starving ever since I found out I was pregnant. God has lined things up perfectly for us and we thank Him for that. We've got a good home to bring the new baby to, our insurance is lined up and Matt still has a job. What more could anyone ask for?!
