Talent Show

So this starts off with a funny story... funny to me, anyway...The girls music teacher at school was having each class do their own little talent show. The kids could participate if they wanted and everyone would have an opportunity to participate. Then, if they wanted to try out for the schoolwide talent show, they could.  Well, Gabby had been sick and got well just in time for her class talent show. Unfortunately, when she went back to school they had done some rearranging of their music time and she had missed the show. She was so sad. She had been practicing all week.I told her she could perform for the big show tryouts but warned her that if she made it she'd have to sing in front of the whole school (Gabby gets stagefright). She hesitated but wanted to perform her song so badly she said okay. Carter tried out as well. A few days later, we learned that both girls made it but to try to have as many acts in the show as they could, they were going to have them sing together. This was perfect for Gabby to have someone to sing with her for her first time on stage! They sang the Star-Spangled Banner and did a good job (I'll try to post video sometime). They also loved being backstage with  friends, watching from the wings. They had smiles on their faces the rest of the day :)
