A memorable Christmas

This was the first Christmas Sofia was truly excited about the entire thing, and was in disbelief the entire weekend.....so much fun to witness!  We were very lucky to spend these moments with all of our families.

Tyler, of course, LOVED seeing Sylvia!   And, then on Christmas Eve Santa visited the entire Meyer side of the family at my parents house.  The kids were shocked and didn't know what to think

And, maybe a little scared :)   Then, we spent Christmas Eve at the Richards.

With all the excitement, the kids were ready to see what Santa left them at 5:45am!  And, they were so thrilled that he listened and got Tyler "tools" and Sofia a princess doll castle

She could hardly believe it (and I think those are her exact words).  Then, we spent the rest of Christmas at the Meyer house opening gifts and hanging with Uncle Scott & Uncle Brian (and Aunt Natalie).

Needless to say, we spent the 26th as a recovery day and went to bed very early!

The first snowfall

The kids were excited, and out playing before 9am.  Of course it didn't last too long, but they had a good time and enjoyed the shovels and snow angels

And, yes, Tyler has pink snow pants.....they are on our Christmas list :)

Christmas fun

The last week or so, we have been getting in the Christmas spirit.  Last weekend we went to breakfast with Santa at Am fam....Sofia would not go near any "live" creatures, or santa, but still had a good time.

Then, on Saturday, we celebrated Chris' birthday with his favorite chocolate cake.

And, on Sunday, we went to the Klein's Christmas in the country and saw reindeer and went on a horse carraige ride with the family!  Now, all we need is snow :)

Closing Out November

Last weekend, we played in the back yard with my parents, and the kids had a blast jumping in piles of leaves that Papa raked up for them.

Then, on Friday, we went to go cut down our Christmas tree!

And, finally, spent some time decorating it and just enjyoing some time off work with the kids!

Weekend with Sylvia

Last weekend, we hung out with Sylvia (and Jock and Lori).  Sylvia is catching up with Tyler, but has a way to go!  We loved all the family time and so did Grammy Beth!

It was great to have you all over.  We felt lonely this weekend :)

Happy Halloween

We had a great day for trick or treating.  We had two families up to join us for some pizza, cider and a walk around the neighborhood with the entire gang.  We had a great time, and realized the big kids are getting fast...they were on a mission!

Sofia loved her bumble bee costume, because it had sparkly fairy wings and a headband!  And, below is the pumpkin we decorated (bedazzled) last week.

We were visited by Nana Witch and Grammy....thanks for trick or treating at our house, it made life a lot easier and the kids LOVED to see you :)

This was the gang, plus baby Gavin, Sam and us moms that made our way around the neighborhood!

Quite a line up!

Once Ty knew there was candy waiting at the doors, he got the hang of it pretty quickly.

....and then soon pooped out!  But, he was great help handing out candy to all the big kids that visited our house.  And, man there were a lot of kids.  Finally, here is a video of the kids trick or treating.

What a great holiday....on the the next!

Richards kids in action

Here are Sofia and Tyler in the bath.  We have taught them how to enjoy a beverage properly :)

And, here is Tyler talking.  He can be really shy, so most people don't always get to see him talk up a storm. But, he is starting to count too, which is really cute.   As you can see in the end, when he knows someone is watching, he tends to get a little shy (and then love his nuk).
