Ready for my close up!

Seriously, he is too cute!

Caden Update

Benjamin took this picture.
Flowers from Dustin's work. They have some of my favorite flowers in it too

Today was Caden's first doctor's visit. He's not quite back up to his birth weight but he is eating a ton. He is also sleeping a lot. Last night was his best night yet. He only woke up three times and went right back to sleep after eating.

When we got home from his doctor's appointment, we were surprised to find flowers on the doorstep! Dustin's work sent them. It was so nice! They're very cute. His job has been so good to him.

We are all loving little Caden. He is so sweet and so cute.

Welcome to the World Caden!

Britton was so excited about his new brother that he worked all night on this sign.
Right after birth
Britton LOVES his brother!
Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Kurt brought the boys to see their baby brother. Seeing Caden herself was a great bonus!

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful Boy! -John Lennon

We're sitting in the hospital with one of the most beautiful baby boys in the whole world. Seriously, he is so cute! Our birth mother went into the hospital at 7:00 this morning for a scheduled induction. At 4:55 p.m., Caden Alexander was born. Our Birth mother was amazing! She is so great and has been doing so well. We are so grateful for her and for Caden. We are constantly amazed that we have been so blessed. We have had the opportunity to adopt THREE amazing boys! We wouldn't change the way our family was formed for anything in the world. Not only do we have 3 great little boys, we also have three amazing birth families that we love and count as our family too. We are so filled with gratitude and love!

Caden's Stats: 7 lbs, 8 oz, 21 inches long. Born at 4:55. Healthy and perfect!

Snow!!!

We finally have snow! When we woke up this morning it was snowing and by the time Britton had to go to the bus we had a couple inches. In total we probably got about 5 inches. Of course, by the afternoon it was raining, so we went ahead and played in the rain while we still had some snow. Benjamin and I made a snowman. I had bought a snowman kit in October. I was starting to wonder if I would get to use it this year. Benjamin loved it. I liked how easy it was to put all the face parts on the snowman. Benjamin really liked the bow tie.

Benjamin also made a snow angel, then crawled around licking snow. It was fun to play with Benjamin in the snow. I think this was the first time we made a snowman without Britton. Britton was at school. When Britton got home from school he was dissapointed that we had already shoveled the walks. Since ours were done, he started on the neighbors walk. The neighbor came out and gave him $5.00 for his work. He was so excited! Britton's actually really good at shoveling snow. He likes to help too.

After shoveling, Britton still wanted to play in the snow so he headed to the back yard. After about a half an hour, he came in freezing and requesting hot chocolate. He also told us that he had built a snowman. It was super cute too. He built it on the trampoline. I wish I could have gotten a picture with him and his snow man, but Britton was already inside, had taken off his wet pants, and was drinking his hot chocolate. There was no way he was going to pose for a picture.

Indoor Soccer

Britton got an electric scooter from Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Kurt for Christmas. He thinks it's the best gift ever!
Benjamin got a wiggle racer from Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Kurt. He loves it!

Winter is long and there is no sign of snow so we thought we should get the kids involved in something to keep them busy. They both had games bright and early. Benjamin woke up and threw up but it was mostly phlem from a cold so we didn't think much about it and got him ready for his game. He did awesome! He played hard and had a great time. Next was Britton's game and for some reason, he has a bunch of 5-year olds on his team and he looked like a giant next to them.

After the game we went to Costco and while we were there, Benjamin was freezing. He is never cold so it was a little strange. I put him in the cart and we started shopping. The next thing we know, Benjer is falling asleep in the cart! That's when we realized he was actually sick, and didn't throw up just from phlem. Ooops! He came home and fell asleep on the couch. He woke up this morning and ate some pancakes and was good as new. It was a good thing too because he had his first talk in church today.
