March 2015

I don't take many pictures these days.  I have got to do that more, but I don't.  One day.  So for now I have pictures of Tyce in my spot at the store.  He is not much of a helper when I am there, but he is pretty good at not getting into too much trouble or breaking anything.  Loni has been playing basketball in Young Womens and she enjoys it quite a bit.  She may be more like me than we thought!  She will be in another play next week, but I will have Tyce and Ada with me so I probably won't get any pictures or videos.  Bummer.  They are keeping busy in dance and both girls are enjoying it.  Tyce still likes his preschool.  I think he will be really happy to be driving Tractors with his dad next year instead of going to school.  Rick will have to make sure he still practices his ABC's and 123's.  He can count pretty darn well though already.

February 2015

I have been doing a lot of crafts.  I am hoping that I will make a bit of money and gain some sanity from doing it.  Course it may just cause more crazy!  Here are a few of my favorites.

Tyce had a preschool valentines party.  Isn't his preschool class cute.  They sang to us and Tyce was by far the best and loudest.  He wasn't scared at all to sing for us.

Laci has always laid her head on Winter or Winter laying on Laci.  This time they were both standing and just hanging out.  Laci just had her head laid over Winter.  It looked so peaceful.  Kind of like if they were people and hugging.

One of the cold days we took a trip to a museum.  Kids have to pose for their pics.  Here is Loni in her glasses too!

A lamp I bought a while back from an estate sale.  It was really dirty and I like it then.  I got it rewired and then finally decided I should clean it up.  I wasn't sure if I should clean it really well or just a quick clean.  I knew it had aged a lot.  Well I cleaned it really well back to its original copper shine.  It is so pretty!  I can't wait to see how long it takes to get a patina back on it.  I am keeping it.

Ada in her winter get up.  She is so funny.  You can see her space on the bottom from the tooth that she lost.
I know you probably don't need to see this, but I was on the toilet and Auggie always has to come in and watch.  Just like my kids.  Well anytime I have strings on my pants this is what he does.  He attacks my clothes and starts eating the string.  Makes me laugh every time.
Another big thing that happened, we got another dog.  Yep,  we have 3 now.  I know.  I am crazy.  This one is Loni's though.  So she is supposed to care for him.  OF course she is gone most of the day so I am with him a lot.  She takes him to sleep in her room though so that pretty much makes him her dog.  His name is Rocky.  He is a boy.  Yes that is a hair bow and tutu he is wearing.

Here it is!  The snow cave!  Rick did a good job building this up with the tiny little shovel he had.

I also bought a cute little kitchen cart/island.  It is on wheels.  I plan to use it as a desk too.  It's pretty cool.

January 2015

Wow!  It is already the end of March!  I was thinking about waiting to blog until I got the last years blog printed, but it looks like I may not get to that for awhile so here goes the blogs posts for 2015!
I have been busy doing lots of crafts and I really enjoy it, but I have no space to do it!  I can't wait to have a craft space/garage and maybe a few more tools to help me do a few more things I would like to learn.  I did this awesome map.  I made this for our house.
I redid a mirror.  I love mirrors lately, but we don't have many at our house.  This one is in my bedroom for now.
Ada turned 6 in January.  She is getting so big!  Her hair is getting pretty long and she needs a trim again.  She asked for bangs the other day but I told her she couldn't have them till she wasn't in ballet and doing a recital.  They pull their bangs back into their buns and it is so much easier to not have bangs!  Ada giving Auggie hugs.
I took the girls to see Phantom of the Opera.  It was ok.  I would go to a different showing next time even if it is more expensive.  This was an afternoon showing and the opening show.  The girls still liked it and were happy they got to go.
Tyce trying out the girls old dance costumes.
He pulls it off I think, what do you think?
Ada in her birthday crown. Oh, she has also lost 2 teeth so far.  She has another lose on top.
Loni has been complaining that she can't see very well since last year.  The eye doctor last year said she was fine.  This year they said she needed glasses.  I think the last one thought she just wanted glasses.  I took Ada to him this year and he said that kids just pretend because they want glasses.  Hmm.  I decided that we wouldn't go to him again after that.  Loni and Ada tried on the biggest pair of frames they offered.  Pretty cute.  I will post photos of Loni in her new glasses in the following posts.

Ada had a few friends over for her birthday party.  She was so happy they could come.  JoJo, Sabrina, and Molly.
Opening presents.  She wore her crown she got from school all day long.
 JoJo, Ada, Molly, and Sabrina.
Another things I did for my pest control guy :)
I have been getting the house ready to sell.  I was hoping we could sell our house when we move, but it seems that it may have to be rented.  So if you need a place, let me know.  You can fill out a form and I will do a background check.
Ada got money from her grandma's for her birthday.  I let her spend the money on whatever she wanted.  When we were at my store she got this cute "Frozen" outfit.  It goes on just like an apron.  So smart!  I love them.  She also got a bag for church that is also "frozen" and a little elf.
So in the process of getting the house ready I removed a bunch of pictures from the walls.  It looks so bare now.  You like my pile of books?  I am making a book lamp one of these days!

We got a little bit of snow and then the next week we got a lot and then a lot again.  The kids had like 7 snow days or something.  Crazy!  They built little snowmen the first time.  The second time Rick built up a snow pile and the 3rd time I think they built a cave.  It was pretty awesome.  It stayed for awhile too.

The past.....

Well the year is almost over so I thought I better catch this blog up so I can start the new year!  Tyce is in his first year of Preschool and he has done very well.  He enjoys it most of the time and he is learning to write his name and doing all sorts of stuff.  He is a smart boy.  Anyway he fell asleep at school one other time, pretty sure it was during another party, but this time a parent took a photo and sent it to me!  Isn't he cute!  This was his Thanksgiving party.
Ada is in kindergarten and has lost her first tooth.  She has 2 adult teeth now and is waiting on her second loose tooth to fall out.

Rick doing who knows what.  Isn't he cute?!  He will have to fill you in on what he was doing.  Some basic water survival.
Ada's class made gingerbread houses.  Her's fell apart and so her teacher sent her home with frosting to redo it.  She decided that it would be better to make something different so it is a flat top gingerbread house!  Smart kid!
Rick and I had a date!  I know, surprising!  We went to Wicked and enjoyed it.  We were both really full and it was hard to truly enjoy it.  Rick was in pain.  But he said he liked it.  Just next time we aren't going to go eat out first:)
At the theater, yep I have glasses.  Just for at night right now.  I can see a whole lot clearer with them and can enjoy things better at night.
The friends who were going and so we jumped in on their date.
 Tyce lovin on the dogs.
Tyco's preschool Christmas program.  He yawned a lot but he does know all the songs.
Christmas morning!  Type was so ready to open presents.  He knew exactly which one to open first to get what he has been waiting for.
Loni made Rick and I  presents and I love mine.  She was really creative with mine, Rick's I think she needs to learn a bit more about him.  She just filled it in with some random information:)

 Tyce's favorite gift.
Ada was so surprised that Santa knew she wanted an Elsa dress.  It is already coming apart at the seams.  Stinking elf sewers need to make them a little more durable:)  Oh well.
Rick helping Tyce free all his toys from their packaging.
Loni with some of her gifts.

Can't forget me.  I got lots of PB M&Ms and a gift card for massages!  Love.  I also got some cash to get a haircut.  My hairdresser moved awhile ago and I haven't done anything with it since.  I guess I will have to now!!
Merry Christmas to you all!  We are so thankful for this past year and all that we have learned.  We can't wait to be near our family for holidays to spend some more time with you all.  I have a new calling in our church.  I am the Stake Young Womens Camp Director.  I get to go to camp with Loni for her first year!  Oh what fun~  it will be a blast.  I am excited to learn some new things and to meet more people.  Have a Happy New Year!
