JONES FAMILY

Katie transferred schools over the summer to Reche Canyon Elementary. She was so excited to be able to ride the bus to school. I was excited to have the kids sleep in later. School went from starting at 7:40 to now 9:15. Hello sleep. The summer was only 6 weeks long. She didn't care though she was excited to go back to school. Little did we know that 3 weeks later she would be divided into a new class and switch to a new teacher. He ended up just being a substitute. 4 weeks later she finally had a permanent teacher. New school and 3 different teachers did not leave this mommy happy but Katie dealt with the chaos and change like a champ.  Trevor was excited for her too.

We went to Rick's cousin's wedding in Logan. We spent the day with Chad and Sarah's family at the local historical farm. While there the kids were able to make rag dolls, throw axes, watch a blacksmith, ride horses, and see what pioneer life was like. After the farm we went to Chad & Sarah's hotel and go everyone dressed for the wedding. This is them looking sharp and watching cartoons..


On the 24th we watched the Parade, had a BBQ, and Chad lit off some fireworks while we waited for the Rodeo fireworks together. Trevor got a little braver with the sparklers this time too.

Reena is my parent's next door neighbor. My sister has a really great friendship with her and arranged for the kids to go horse back riding. Luckily Chad and Sarah were able to come join us for a jaunt in the pasture.

While in Utah for summer break we headed to payson lakes for a day of fun with the extended. It was great to hang out with Kathy and Janielle. I love spending time with my cousins. I remarked at how blue the sky was that day. I had gotten use to seeing the smog in California. We took the kids Kayaking and let them play in the water. It was fun to watch all of the kiddos explore.
