Just before Valentine’s Day, Josh took his little princess to the Daddy/Daughter dance at our church. To say that this girl had a great time with her dad is an understatement! She was so excited for the big night and even got to pick out a new dress for the special occasion. Josh got her a corsage at the dance and she was over the moon about her special flower!
We hit up the stock show last weekend for some fun with family & friends. Our first stop was the ponies where Riley caught a ride from Gem.
Next up, the petting zoo. This kid was hilarious! He was a little hesitant at first…
though he quickly warmed up and was trying to grab the faces of all the animals.
When we told Braden, be gentle with the animals, he did the opposite.
Riley was indifferent about the petting zoo. She really just wanted to move on to the fair grounds to go on some rides!
We discovered that Braden likes cotton candy, although that wasn’t a big surprise since he pretty much likes everything that he eats.
We spent our Valentine’s Day evening with family at my sisters house. The guys cooked up a fantastic dinner and we got lots of cute pictures of the kiddos in their cute matching attire!

I had to include these funny pictures from tonight! Braden was having his diaper changed and immediately after he ran over to check out Leslie, who was sitting so peacefully in her bumbo checking out a toy. Braden decided he needed to squash her sit in her lap!

Today was haircut day for both kids, and with it being Braden’s first official haircut, you better believe I had the camera out to document the experience!
Pre-haircut sucker. You can see how shaggy his hair was getting around the ears.

Riley took the seat first, showing baby brother how it’s done.
Just a little trim…she was all done in less than five minutes.

He wasn’t too sure about the chair, so dad hopped into the chair and had Braden sit in his lap.
He started off okay, although very squirmy.
“Okay, I’m done.”
“No, really, I’m done now.”
And here come the tears. Poor baby did not like the clippers.
Luckily, it was over almost as quickly as Riley’s, and another sucker later, he was happy as can be.

Can you believe it? San Antonio actually got some snow! While it was mostly ice, and very little at that, it was still white! So, what to do when faced with snow? Bust out the laundry basket with neighbors and go sledding, of course!
After our fun with friends, we came inside and enjoyed a nice cup of hot chocolate and changed back into our pajamas for a fun day at home.
Since it will probably be another 10-15 years before we see snow (or ice) again, I’m so glad that we were able to make a few memories today. And even more excited that it’ll be in the 60’s this weekend and the freezing temps didn’t stick around too long!
